Produced a noteworthy effort on last start (first having been gelded) when staying on well to take fourth at Leicester. Will be suited by today's trip/conditions and jockey booking looks positive.

Moved from Andrew Balding for 11,000 gns in February having become frustrating. Has the form to win this, but latest efforts are below the standard required.

Handles any going and starting to look nicely weighted on her form for Hugo Palmer. Says this far but she will need to settle better than on her reappearance.

By Kodiac but blessed with stamina on the dam's side and looked in need of this trip when sent off favourite at Doncaster last time. Stable 8-20 with their older horses here since 2014.

Last few runs have been hot and cold but he's back from a break and just 1lb higher than when scoring in game style at Windsor last August (1m3f,good). Stays this far but that would be questionable should it turn soft.

Ayr winner for previous yard but only beat one home on debut for new connections and she may be better over slightly shorter.

Has won three of her last four, including two under today's rider, but latest rise in the weights prompts a step up in class. Clearly suited to a sound surface and hard to dismiss if it stays dry.

C&D winner off today's mark last year. Ideally suited to fast ground and last couple of runs suggest he is below his best.

Produced his best run since his debut when putting in good work at the finish last time behind Kirkland Forever. Has work to do to reverse placings but he looks a good acquisition for the stable at 6.500 gns from David Simcock.

Ffos Las winner on testing ground last year and appeared to be running into form 18 days ago. Stepping up in class but could still be a player if conditions turn soft.

Verdict

Kirkland Forever is in the form of her life and now steps up in grade having won three of her last four in Class 6. Provided it stays dry she looks set to win more races but CONSULTANT is a potential improver stepping up in trip. The Kingsclere runner was supported for a better race than this last time but got tapped for speed before running on in the closing stages and his yard have an excellent record with their older horses here. Cacophonous has each-way claims on his last run, whilst Ascot Day would be one to note given the possibility of rain.
