Showed his well being when winning easily over hurdles at Ffos Las nine days ago. Returns to the Flat off a fair mark and has to go on the short list given his current mood.
Consistent last season although his only victory was achieved at Chester in July. Has dropped back down to that winning mark and could be on the premises if ready to go after his winter break.
Ended last season with goods seconds at Chelmsford and Goodwood. Each-way claims if returning in the same form.
Back in the winner's enclosure when landing a 2m handicap at Kempton last month. Up 4lb and makes turf debut on the Flat, but has winning form in a bumper on grass so that should not be an issue.
Back from a break and probably needed the run when seventh of 12 at Kempton almost a year ago, Has another absence to cope with and is probably best watched despite falling handicap mark.
Winner of one of his nine starts on the Flat and returns to this country after a spell in France. Stays well, but the merit of his recent form is hard to gauge so the betting may be the best guide to his chance
Back-to-back hurdles wins at Worcester last summer and was not disgraced in a competitive handicap at Cheltenham when last seen in October. Still a maiden on the Flat, but has possibilities off this mark.
Pleasing return to action when second of 11 over 1m4f at Beverley 13 days ago. That should have blown away the cobwebs and switch to this longer trip is a plus.
Has not really taken to hurdles, but Flat form before ordinary runs on last two starts was fine. Needs to get his career back on track, but this longer trip may help.
Back to winning ways on second start for current stable when scoring narrowly over 2m2f at Pontefract on latest outing. Seemed to need every yard of that trip and may find this a bit sharp.
Forecasts
Champagne Champ (6/4), Orin Swift (3/1), Really Super (15/2), Remember The Man (12/1), Valkenburg (14/1), Midnight Wilde (14/1), Knight Crusader (16/1), Flower Power (16/1), Outofthequestion (28/1), Steaming (33/1)
Flower Power made a pleasing return at Beverley and goes on the short list along with Orin Swift, but such was the ease of CHAMPAGNE CHAMP's recent win over hurdles that he has to be the selection switched back to the Flat off a fair mark. Solid chances can also be given to Midnight Wilde and Knight Crusader.
- Champagne Champ
- Flower Power
- Orin Swift
