By Dansili, first foal out of a Group-placed two-year-old. Speedy enough pedigree, has twice gone close in three attempts (including ½L to Sir Erec at the Curragh). Good effort at Gowran on reappearance and better ground / drop in trip suits.

Exposed sort with positives few and far between in 10-race career on turf/AW; major shock should he prove good enough in this line-up.

Helmet colt, cost 26,000 gns as a foal and €140,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to two winners including a Listed winner over a similar trip. Much-improved at Clonmel (1m1½f, yielding; 25-1) on reappearance to take moderate second, place claims.

Improving each start and room for improvement though all runs have been on the AW and now tries turf for the first time. Market can guide here.
Gelding by Rock Of Gibraltar cost 25,000 gns yearling, first racecourse appearance and betting likely best source of information.
By Zebedee out of a Quest For Fame mare. Brother to 7f AW two-year-old winner Latest Quest. No improvement at Clonmel on return from winter break / second start.

Gelding by Medicean out of a Danehill Dancer mare. Sported this tongue-tie when running decent race in Fairyhouse maiden (7f, good; 25-1) in September to be 2¼L fourth of 18. Should make progress this term.

Unfancied 33-1 shot on debut over a mile at Dundalk last month, weakening late on. May need some time to get hang of things.

Filly by Dark Angel out of a Galileo mare. Sold for €1,200 at the Goffs sale in November. Dam 1m2f winner, out of US 1m2f Grade 2-winning half-sister to Italian 1m Group 2 winner Oriental Fashion. Poor show on debut at Navan, must improve.

Filly by Big Bad Bob out of a Mujadil mare. Cost €1,000 as a yearling and needs to improve dramatically on what she has shown in two starts this year.

Ran well as a juvenile and was not disgraced in a number of starts at three. Caught the eye when finishing third of 16 behind impressive Navan victor Bobby Boy last month and again since on soft ground at Gowran since. Cheekpieces deployed, in mix.

Oasis Dream filly who is a half-sister to the very useful Carntop. Not much to shout about in a couple of starts for trainer Ralph Beckett last spring or recent stable bow at Clonmel. Improvement demanded.

Casamento half-sister to useful 6f-7f winner Miracle of Medinah, but showed very little in four starts to date and yet to go off at less than 50-1. Unlikely to be troubling the judge.

Mastercraftsman colt that cost 32,000 gns as a foal and rose to 50,000 gns as a yearling. Has disappointed connections in three career starts to date. Has a bit to prove at present (Second Reserve).

Verdict

JASSAAR owns the best piece of form in the field courtesy of his runner-up finished behind Sir Erec last summer. He should be sharper for the recent run at Gowran Park and is capable of opening his account now. Sinseir made a good fist of things on debut at Fairyhouse and ranks alongside Minnie Haha and Khafaaq as possible dangers.
