Best effort in three juvenile starts came at Salisbury on his second start over 1m. Struggled on return at Redcar though on handicap debut and needs to leave that form behind. First-time cheekpieces and booking of De Sousa are positives.

Sole win in seven starts came at Carlisle (7f good to soft) in August but hasn't built on that subsequently. Some promise on return at Redcar but needs to take a sizable step forward to have any say here.

Looked like a promising sort as a juvenile and she was only narrowly denied on handicap debut at Kempton earlier in the month. A shade too keen that day and expected to be right there from just 1lb higher here.

Yet to win in three starts and disappointed when odds-on at Pontefract last time. Has been slowly away on two of his three starts and needs to address that issue on handicap debut here.

Plenty of promise when a very green third of 12 at Goodwood on debut in October. Beaten favourite in a Wolverhampton maiden last time, possibly left too much to do and better expected here from a nice mark on handicap debut.

Yet to win in five AW starts but went close on handicap debut at Wolverhampton in February. Failed to build on that and a shade more exposed than some. Needs the first-time cheekpieces to bring improvement.

Well beaten in a trio of starts as a juvenile with his best effort coming over 1m on soft ground at Ayr. May do better now upped in trip on handicap debut.

Surprise 50/1 winner on his second start at Beverley but that form didn't work out and he's been beaten a long way in two subsequent starts. Plenty to prove here on seasonal return.

Yet to win in four starts but showed some improved form on handicap debut at Nottingham on return. Has been dropped 1lb for that and shaped like he would come on for the run; has each-way claims.

Sole win in seven starts came at Kempton (1m). Beaten at short odds on three subsequent runs though and more exposed than several in here.

Showed some promise in a trio of juvenile starts and got a bit outpaced over 1m2f at Lingfield last time on handicap debut. This test looks more suitable.

Improved when third on handicap debut in Wolverhampton, despite a slow start but failed to build on that at Nottingham subsequently. Up in trip and needs to come on for that run.

Verdict

PALLADIUM has looked like a nice prospect at times and he wasn't seen to best effect when a beaten favourite at Wolverhampton last time. The assessor hasn't been to harsh with his opening mark and he could be the one to beat. Sapa Inca has got away lightly for her good second last time out and she can be considered the main danger. Valence shouldn't be far away if he can build on his comeback run at Nottingham.
