Fair second when favourite for Rules debut in Sedgefield bumper in Decmber and made all to beat four rivals there on only subsequent start. This looks tougher though and will do well to concede her winner's 7lb penalty.

Trainer has near 45% strike rate here in bumpers. Shaped well when third on only start when made favourite for Newton Abbot bumper in August. Not seen since and form has taken a few knocks, but is respected.
€11,000 daughter of Doctor Dino, half-sister to French hurdle and chase winner. Represents top yard with 23% strike rate in bumpers here of late and market should give some indication as to expectations here on debut.

Cheaply bought daughter of Black Sam Bellamy has her first outing for yard with poor record in bumpers. Likely to be better for the experience.
€50,000 daughter of Milan out of winning French hurdler. Created a good impression on debut last month when staying on nicely to beaten just a length in Uttoxeter bumper. Yard has decent record in these races and should go close.
Shantou filly whose dam won over hurdles and fences at up to 2m7f so shouldn't lack for stamina. Promising second on debut at Wetherby in 1m4f bumper in December then disappointed when well beaten there next time out.
Midnight Legend filly who is a full-sister to winning 2m hurdler Pink Legend. Ran creditably on first two starts at Wetherby and Catterick but threw in a poor run back at Wetherby last time and may be found wanting once again.
Stable companion of Docte Dina. Yeats filly whose dam is a maiden half-sister to Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Long Run. Fine pedigree and certainly worth monitoring for any market move on her racecourse bow.

£16,000 Milan filly making her first racecourse appearance for yard capable of producing a decent bumper horse. Trainer-jockey combination have 15% winning strike rate and interesting to see how she fares.
Stable companion of Milesha. £15,000 filly by French jumps sire Maresca Sorrento, sire of Grand National hero Pineau De Re. Half-sister to two winners. Makes racecourse bow and may need further in due course.
Mount Nelson filly had unfortunate experience on debut at Uttoxeter last month when mid-division and forced wrong side of rail 7f out. Hard to know where she might have finished and deserves better luck this time.
French bred No Risk At All filly cost just €3,000 but is half-sister to three French winners. Yard not known for having them ready to go first time out so others are preferred.
Fair jumps pedigree being by Mahler out of a Presenting mare and hails from top yard capable of producing a good bumper performer. Market check worthwhile for signs of any stable confidence on debut.

Forecasts

The Milan Girl (11/10), Docte Dina (9/2), Vienna Court (6/1), Bluberry High (8/1), Lilly Pedlar (11/1), Takingitallin (16/1), Milesha (16/1), Eleanor Bob (25/1), Artichoke Heart (33/1), Precious Eleanor (33/1), The City Cobbler (40/1), Trottinette (50/1), Maisiebella (66/1)

Verdict

THE MILAN GIRL can make the most of the 7lb she receives from previous winner Takingitallin and can go one better than her promising d but second at Uttoxetter. Takingitallin is respected but this is a stronger race than the Sedgefield bumper she won last time and she'll do very well to follow up under her penalty. It's hard to choose between the Nicky Henderson pair Docte Dino and Lilly Pedlar, although the pedigree of the latter very much catches the eye. Milesha and Vienna Court are interesting while Bluberry High may not be far away despite the form of her previous outing having failed to work out.
  1. The Milan Girl
  2. Lilly Pedlar
  3. Vienna Court
