Mayson colt who was quite well fancied on debut at Naas last month, but looked badly in need of the experience. Ought to do much better at some point, and market useful.
By Camacho out of an unraced half-sister to smart 6f/7f winner Fifty Stars. In very good hands, and merits serious consideration on racecourse debut.

Makes Believe half-brother to several winners, including smart 2-y-o 5f/6f winner Always Hopeful. Showed a bit when mid-field on recent debut at Naas, and should have learnt from that initial experience.

Kodiac half-brother to 2-y-o 7f winner Brogan out of a mare who won over 5f/6f as a juvenile. Bred to be speedy, and cost 95,000 gns as a yearling, so looks one of the likelier types on paper.

Full-brother to US dual Grade 1 1¼m winner Avenge and half-brother to several other winners. Representing the most powerful connections around, and bred to be smart, so merits maximum respect.

By Night of Thunder, and the first foal of a 2-y-o 7f winner. Others more appealing on pedigree, and left alone unless the subject of notable support.

First foal of an unraced mare, and although she cost €59,000 as a yearling, she shaped with no immediate promise on racecourse bow at Dundalk recently.

Cheap purchase by Born To Sea out of a 7f/1m winner. Dam has produced a winner in Hong Kong, but this filly looks a likely outsider on her first appearance.

Forecasts

Pistoletto (11/10), Papa Bear (11/4), Complete Fantasy (6/1), Cobb And Co (9/1), Ampeson (12/1), American Lady (14/1), Think Big (25/1), Rolling Wave (66/1)

Verdict

Not easy to judge the unraced ones, but PAPA BEAR is bred to be precocious and gets a narrow vote in the absence of market clues. Pistoletto is a brother to a Grade 1 winner in the US, so merits maximum respect, and Joseph O'Brien's newcomers are always noteworthy, which puts Cobb And Co firmly in the mix.
  1. Papa Bear
  2. Pistoletto
  3. Cobb And Co
