Former Irish National hero, wound the clock back in the Cork version in November to finish a gallant second but long way below that form in four starts since and easier to pass him over on form.
Useful handicap hurdler who has been in top-class form in big-field handicaps winning at Navan and then finishing twice placed before looking a little overwhelmed making too many mistakes, pulled up in the Pertemps at the Cheltenham festival.
Landed a Navan handicap hurdle off a 13lb lower mark when in January beating 19 rivals a neck before finishing second of nine beaten 1¼L in a weak novice handicap hurdle last month at Down Royal. More needed in this company.
Unexposed sort that found only Dounikos too strong at Punchestown before a disappointing effort as beaten favourite behind Pairofbrowneyes over 3m at Navan in a 54k handicap chase. Blinkers return but others make more appeal.
Won a beginners' chase over this sort of trip at Tipperary in October before taking a tumble at Cork and then finishing down the field at Navan in the Troytown. Tailed off when last seen in December over C&D and has a bit to prove at present.
Finished in the first three on all six starts since returning to fences. Successful over an extended 3m1f at Punchestown in January on good ground, 2½L ahead of Whisperinthebreeze. Beaten last month at Navan but could grab a place here.
Got off the mark for connections winning his first handicap chase at the fourth time of asking in a Punchestown 3m1f contest in October. beaten at Cork in November before returning to win a Thurles handicap chase off a 9lb lower mark last month.
Off the mark at the ninth time of asking for connections over the larger obstacles in a Naas handicap over a similar trip off an 11lb lower mark. Still in contention when falling two out at Navan last month and worth another chance here.
All three of his wins have been over hurdles and on heavy, so any further rain would be welcomed. Plenty to find on three chase starts to date when in the care of trainer Keith Dalgleish. Worth a market check on stable debut.
Winner of just one of his 10 starts over fences and finished seventh of nine in a Thurles handicap last month on his first start for 521 days. Makes little appeal in this heat.
