Fair handicapper but one who has failed to win since mid-2016 and has a career-record of 2-35. Now makes stable debut (bought for ÂŁ5,000 guineas) having her second run on Fibresand; both wins have come at 5f, may need this run.

Lost his way last year when with Tim Easterby which has seen his mark plummet (should be able to take advantage). Ran well here on stable debut over 5f; has a C&D win to his name (his sole win) but hard to ignore off this mark given his recent run.

Winner of a novice event over 5f at the end of last year here (finally off the mark trying that trip for the first time). Two respectable efforts here over 6f following that win separated by a three-month break; may just be better suited by 5f.

In cracking form of late scoring here over C&D and adding a Pontefract victory over 5f last time out off her much higher turf mark. Struck up a good partnership with today's pilot of late; a return here even off this mark still makes her competitive.

Confirmed the promise of his previous run when scoring over C&D (Fibresand debut) although he needed every yard of the trip to win. Raised 2lb for that victory he ran with credit returned to the same C&D; sound chance again on form.

Dual turf 5f winner in 2017 off much higher marks but hasn't been able to recapture that same sparkle since then, Not disgraced on a couple of December AW start but ran poorly when last seen; now tries Fibresand for the first time.

Completed a rapid 7f handicap hat-trick at Kempton earlier in the year although he was helped by starting from a basement mark. Appeared a busy spell had caught up with him last time (bit laboured); back from a break trying Fibresand first time.

Fairly lightly-raced sort (still a maiden) who is already running for her third yard and now tries this surface for the first time. Last two starts over 1m have been poor racing freely each time; makes limited appeal on the evidence so far.

Fair handicapper when with Kevin Ryan up to 2017 since when he's run without success in Ireland. Now had two runs for this yard (one over C&D) who are good at turning this sort around; well handicapped on old form, one to note in the market.

Taken well to this surface (3-9 here) with a C&D win to his name although his last two starts here have been below the standard he's set on Fibresand. Not seen to best effect last time over C&D (caught wide); handicapper may just have him for now.

One course win to his name from none starts here (placed a further four times) he's not been seen since the end of last year when he sprang back to life at Yarmouth. Won over 6f there but ran poorly when last seen, likely to need the run here.

Ticks The Boxes77

10/3
Has won over C&D (off a mark of 67) but that was back in December 2016 and he's only won once since then which means he comes here on a long losing run. Interesting to see what his new yard can do with him; has been unreliable though.

Forecasts

Ticks The Boxes (10/3), Captain Dion (4/1), Elusif (11/2), Global Melody (13/2), Gorgeous General (7/1), Socialites Red (8/1), Rasheeq (12/1), The Golden Cue (14/1), Danish Duke (20/1), Stoneyford Lane (33/1), Hippeia (33/1), Fumbo Jumbo (33/1)

Verdict

There look to be a few interesting plotlines in this 6f finale with one or two of these very well handicapped on their old form. Ticks The Boxes would definitely fall into that category if Brain Ellison can turn him around while Captain Dion is another who should be watched closely for positive market vibes having won off far higher marks in the past. RASHEEQ is the one that fits best into this group with his recent run over 5f here very much showing he was back in business and this former C&D winner will appreciate this extra furlong. Socialites Red can’t be left out of the picture even off her increased AW mark having coped with this rating on turf with The Golden Cue also in the picture.
  1. Rasheeq
  2. Captain Dion
  3. Socialites Red
