Has come back this season in good form after a break and after winning at Lingfield last month was a bit too keen when fifth on return visit there. Also engaged Lingfield 3-05 Friday.
Arrived here in winning form when third in this race a year ago off 7lb higher mark. Form not a s good afterwards but can go well fresh and handicapper has given him a chance.
Much improved on the AW during the winter and the return to minimum trip today in his favour. Should get the strong pace he needs and one for the short list.
Well backed when second on his return at Newbury last week and although not the easiest to win with, has plenty of good sprint form to his name and able to run off 13lb lower mark than when last seen on the AW in January last year.
Out of sorts since Windsor victory last summer (last time he was ridden by this jockey) and well below par both efforts this spring. Needs to bounce back on rare try these days at 5f.
Lightly raced and not seen since finding 6f stretching him at Windsor in August. May do better but wide draw to overcome on first run since gelding operation.
Not seen since last summer until bouncing back with two good runs from the front over 6f here last month. The drop down to the minimum trip today is ideal and could take some catching with the champion booked.
Front runner who has quickly found her form since joining this yard and followed Chelmsford win with a good third at Windsor on Monday. Arrives here in good heart and fully fit, but this a deal tougher than the company she normally keeps.
Excuses last three runs and losing run continues to build, but has dropped to a good mark and with the prospect of a good pace he needs, could go well from his favourable draw.
Forecasts
Global Academy (7/2), Royal Birth (7/2), Blue De Vega (7/2), Puds (11/2), Outrage (8/1), Tomily (10/1), Foxy Forever (16/1), Cowboy Soldier (20/1), Udontdodou (25/1)
GLOBAL ACADEMY has showed he retains all his ability with a pair of good efforts over 6f here last month and this return to 5f is very much in his favour. He is taken to make at the expense of Outrage while a market move for Foxy Forever would be worth heeding.
