Verdict

The Dermot Weld-trained ZARANDI may have been a beaten favourite on debut but the Scat Daddy colt can improve on a 3L defeat in a Leopardstown 1m maiden earlier this month and gets the verdict in this contest. The Aga Khan-owned three-year-old can get the better of potentially sorts in Wartime Hero, Fivestar Lynch and Bostin Bruin. The Shamardal colt Musalsal can be expected to improve from two to three and should be noted in the betting.
