Landed a 17-runner 5f handicap at Thirsk last summer, but went up in the weights and could not land a blow in two subsequent contests at Ripon and York. Has a C&D success to his name.

C&D winner in March after which he went up 4lb to this rating and finished down the field at Chelmsford. Should be happier back at this venue.

Two wins over 7f in the autumn when trained by Hugo Palmer. First run for current handler and interesting that he is dropped to the minimum trip for seasonal reappearance.

Experienced campaigner who won this last year and has 13 AW successes to his name, the latest at Chelmsford last summer. No wins since, but finds himself 5lb lower which would give him every chance if returning to form.

Nine-race winner who probably resented the soft ground when well beaten on his final outing of last season at Nottingham. Has each-way claims on his previous efforts.

Little Legs6
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-9| J: Ben Robinson(3)| T: B Ellison| OR:  87| CD
8/1
Lightly-raced filly who was returning from quite a lengthy absence when well held at Thirsk six days ago. Only win came over C&D so not one to write off at this early stage.

Age: 4|  Weight: 9-7| J: Cam Hardie| T: A Brittain| OR:  75| CD

Wins over C&D and Wolverhampton since the turn of the year. Not disgraced off this mark at Lingfield on latest outing and is likely to be thereabouts again.

Not at her best over further in two starts this year. Handicap mark is falling and this return to 5f might spark a revival so one to note in the betting.

Has failed to beat a rival on her last three starts over sprint distances. Impossible to fancy despite reduced handicap mark.

Eight-race winner who has finished in mid-division on last two starts over C&D. Possibilities now he has been given some respite by the handicapper.

Jan Van Hoof21
Age: 8|  Weight: 9-3| J: Barry McHugh| T: M Herrington| OR:  71| CD

Scored over C&D in February and has run well to be placed off 2lb higher in two subsequent starts at this venue. Up another 1lb which makes life difficult.

Off the mark at the second attempt at Lingfield and has been placed in novice and handicap company on last two outings. Open to improvement and is feasibly treated.

Burford Brown (3/1), Another Angel (5/1), Oriental Lilly (6/1), Justice Lady (6/1), Jan Van Hoof (13/2), Tathmeen (7/1), Little Legs (8/1), Key To Power (14/1), Henley (16/1), Landing Night (18/1), Dynamo Walt (20/1), Bashiba (28/1), Marietta Robusti (100/1)

Verdict

An open finale in which cases can be made for almost all of the runners. The main fancies, however, are Tathmeen, Key To Power, Jan Van Hoof and ORIENTAL LILLY, with the latter earning the vote on her return to the minimum trip off a favourable mark. Burford Brown is an intriguing runner dropped markedly in distance while last year's winner Dynamo Walt cannot be discounted.
  1. Oriental Lilly
  2. Key To Power
  3. Tathmeen
