Finished down the field in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot (5f); pacy type who travelled strongly but found little at the finish when heavily supported in a Sandown novice (5f, good to soft) in August; off since; sharp track/ground will suit.

Well regarded by her trainer, she turned over a 4/9f on Northumberland Plate Day at Newcastle in June (5f novice); not far off that level of form since, beaten 3½L (fourth) in the 5f Roses Stakes (Listed) at York in August; chance.

Cost £58,000 as a juvenile; kicked-off his juvenile career late in the season, but quickly made up for lost time by winning at Catterick (5f, good to soft) and Wolverhampton (5f); races to the fore; makes his handicap debut seeking a hat-trick.

Progressed with racing as a juvenile, making all to score over 5f (good to firm) at Beverley and Carlisle; came up a fraction short in Redcar's 6f Listed Two Year Old Trophy (eighth of 21), albeit did show plenty of her customary early dash.

Favourite for four of his five starts as a juvenile, winning by 2L over an extended 5f at York (good to soft) in September; the form book indicates that he has work to do with today's rival Triggered.

Princess Power183
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-12| J: A Mullen| T: N Tinkler| OR:  81| C| D
14/1
Started off slowly as a juvenile but upped her game as the season progressed, winning four of her nine starts (5f-6f), including a Class 2 nursery at Goodwood (good) in September; a slow start hindered her chances at York (5½f) in October.

Stablemate of Princess Power having joined Nigel Tinkler for 26,000gns in October; 1-5 for Joseph O'Brien, scoring by a head from Backpfeifengesicht at Tipperary (5f, good) in August; lowest draw in stall 1 far from ideal.

Forecasts

Leodis Dream (3/1), Mutawaffer (7/2), Triggered (11/2), Three Card Trick (6/1), Que Amoro (7/1), Yolo Again (12/1), Princess Power (14/1), Coolagh Magic (14/1), Little Legs (14/1), Tenax (28/1)

Verdict

A tight looking 5f handicap for three-year-old's, and it's probably worth heeding the market signals in order to gauge who has improved most from their respective juvenile careers. One certainty is that there'll be masses of early pace with a number more than happy to make the running, including the Charles Hills-trained Mutawaffer. Kevin Ryan took this in 2018 with Savalas, and he relies on Three Card Trick to repeat the dose. Favourite for the vast majority of his juvenile starts, he has form aligned with Triggered. However, from a handy draw in stall ten, we'll chance the filly LITTLE LEGS who has always been well-regarded by the Malton handler Brian Ellison.
