Bit better on second run over fences at Huntingdon last month. Probably more to come and low mileage compared to many of these.
Has struggled since switching to the larger obstacles and although this represents a bit of a drop in class, it's hard to make a case for him on current form.
Very disappointing when well backed on chase debut at this track. Clearly felt capable of better and one to note in market having had a breathing operation since.
Point-to-point wins in the past and having had a long lay off, didn't cut much ice on chasing debut. Should strip fitter and not one to give up on yet.
Plenty of placed efforts but still a maiden and beaten when well backed favourite in bad race last time. Needs to eke out a bit of improvement from somewhere.
Not an easy ride and although a bit better on latest, is still a maiden over fences and comes with risks attached.
Scraped home at Ludlow last year for only success over fences but well below that form of late and bit to prove at present.
Would win this on his second to Chic Name at Perth a year ago but has badly lost his way since and can't be fancied on efforts since.
Didn't achieve much when runner up at Fakenham last time and needs to improve though relatively lightly raced so could be capable of better.
Won a Point-to-point a year ago. Has shown nothing under rules though worth noting if there is any support for him.
Good ground Fontwell in 2017 but absent for a long time afterwards and has shown nothing in three runs back to make him of interest.
Won a Point-to-point in 2018 but jumped with little confidence on chase debut recently and will have to make plenty of improvement in that sphere.
Plenty of visits here with three wins under his belt. Probably needed recent run at Chepstow and if coming on for that could have place claims.
Long standing maiden but has stacks of placed efforts to his name. Hard to fancy for win purposes but no shock should he hit the frame again.
Forecasts
The Boom Is Back (11/4), Mr Love (6/1), Hepburn (7/1), Browndodd (7/1), Dara's Present (8/1), Lac Sacre (9/1), Rescued Glory (10/1), Point Of Departure (12/1), Sergeant Brody (14/1), Sutter's Mill (16/1), Magical Man (16/1), Clondaw Ace (16/1), Knight Ofthe Realm (20/1), Bobonyx (33/1)
Recent form is thin on the ground and it may pay to side with a couple of lightly raced types. Browndodd showed enough last time to suggest he can pick one of these before long but preference is for DARA'S PRESENT who didn't live up to market expectations here last time but a wind operation could bring about the required improvement. Rescued Glory completes the short list.
- Dara's Present
- Browndodd
- Rescued Glory
