10-race maiden but kept on as if he might appreciate 3m when sixth here latest over 2m4f. If longer trip can improve him he has a real chance in this ordinary contest.
Won two of four since moving to this yard including over 2m7½f at Hexham latest on heavy ground. Up 6lb for that 6L win which by no means tempers enthusiasm, danger to all here.
Dual 1m6f Lingfield winner on the Flat made little impression in three novice hurdles so far. Handicaps will suit her better with time but hard to be overly confident.
Tailed off last in lone handicap hurdle start last season. Blundered a few times on chase debut since but even back over hurdles he makes little appeal.
Seven-race maiden has gotten slightly closer with each handicap although never seriously in the mix. Up quite drastically in trip now so interesting to see if she stays, hard to be confident she will.
Achieved very little in bumpers and has gone the same way over hurdles. Would be a surprise if she were to trouble the principals in this.
Modest performer in bumpers and over hurdles, with little improvement when ninth of 11 latest after three lasts on the spin.
Lightly-raced (0-5 over hurdles) and no better latest after a wind-op as she finished last of six at Hexham.
0-7 over hurdles; hasn't quite managed to break that duck just yet; attracted some outside market support when caught close home (finished fourth) in a blanket finish at Wetherby but well beaten since. Still one of the more likely.
13-race maiden off the track since November 2017 when midfield at Hexham last month. Should come on for that and wouldn't be a great surprise if he makes the frame here.
Winning pointer; 12-race maiden under rules. Rare she runs from true handicap mark which is a bonus but otherwise less than inspiring.
Forecasts
Dontdelay (7/4), Porto Du Sud (7/2), Kitty Fisher (5/1), Farlam King (7/1), Quiet Penny (8/1), The Conn (12/1), Our Cilla (25/1), Ciarabella (25/1), Luvly Boy Blue (25/1), Mini Dreams (33/1), Dorothy's Flame (50/1)
In-form DONTDELAY has been found another excellent opportunity in a frankly very weak contest and he is readily selected. Porto Du Sud could prove the biggest threat with this longer trip likely to suit. Best of the rest looks to be Farlam King.
- Dontdelay
- Porto Du Sud
- Farlam King
