Drop in grade clearly helped him win at Market Rasen around a year ago in testing conditions (2m1f). Has so far failed to fire this season but did show a little more on his last completed start. This trip under a big weight may be too far.
Late recruit to chasing who was flattered at Huntingdon before having his limitations exposed last time. This is a poorer race though and he is well-enough handicapped to have a say.
Landed a couple of poor races at Lingfield and Market Rasen before trailing in a distant fifth last time. Handicapper probably has her measure for now.
Back to back winner at Ffos Las and Sedgefield this year and not disgraced off his revised marks since. Looked to be going well enough before finding 3m too far last time so should have a lot to offer over this stiff 2m3f.
Showed much improved form to score on chase debut and both the second and fourth have upheld the form since. Has a pronounced knee action so this even softer ground looks ideal.
Back to winning ways at Leicester in January and weighted to give a good account. However his jumping has been poor on his last three starts and that has to be a concern on this track in particular.
Won a similar standard of race last year off an identical mark. Sparingly campaigned since but should be all the better for his latest outing following a break. Has the right conditions to produce a big run.
Scored on this card last year over this trip as a hurdler. Has had some stiff tasks at the weights since and more favourably treated here. Needs to jump better than he did on his chase debut and blinkers are now fitted.
Winner off today's mark last season on testing ground and he has been a beaten favourite on four of his seven starts since. Lacks consistency but due a good run following a laboured effort last time.
Game winner at Warwick this season and his two runs since have been blighted by mistakes. Conditions would have been too quick last time but should give a good account here off bottom weight.

Forecasts
Hugo's Reflection (5/2), Zayfire Aramis (11/2), Briac (6/1), Drewmain Legend (7/1), Red Devil Star (8/1), Smuggler's Blues (8/1), Redmond (8/1), Arquebusier (12/1), Parlour Maid (16/1), Master Vintage (20/1), Market Road (25/1)
Few of these stand out and all should find conditions to their liking. ZAYFIRE ARAMIS appeals as one of the better handicapped horses now that he is down to his last winning mark and should be approaching his peak after a recent pipe opener at Market Rasen. Briac and Hugo's Reflection arrive in good nick but with improvement to find to defy the handicapper, whilst Arquebusier and Master Vintage also have possibilities in a wide open race.
