Track regular with a good draw and racing off a lower mark than when scoring in January over 8.5f at Wolverhampton. Capable at this trip too and looks set to go close.

Drop back to this trip and switch to positive tactics saw him gain a first victory at the 18th attempt. Handicapper has not overreacted but there will be more competition for the lead this time.

Made all to score on his penultimate start but could not get on the front end last time when well beaten. Faces similar problems here as a few of these like to press on.

Off the mark on penultimate start but found out by an 11lb higher mark next time. Down a couple of pounds but probably needs more help from the handicapper and this trip is a big question mark.

The gap between his turf and AW mark is justified and he is giving away a fitness advantage to his rivals. Not easy to win with but tactically more versatile than a few of these and the possibility of a pace collapse would be a help.

Has won in similar grade over C&D off a higher mark but disappointing lately and cheekpieces fitted for first time. Rider good value for his claim.

11-race maiden has moved from Patrick Chamings yard. Has been running over longer trips and she showed a tendency to hang right on her last two starts. Probably best watched for now.

Sole success came off today's mark over C&D when she he had the advantage of being close to the pace in a slowly run contest. This promises to be a stronger gallop and others preferred as a result.

Appreciated the strong gallop when winning over C&D in November. Should get the race run to suit and competitively weighted for the first time since.

Has won 10% of his races, but over a year since his last victory and he looks held by Arlecchino's Arc on last month's form.

Has an official rating of just 28 following four weak efforts and that means she faces a huge task on her first run for seven months.

Forecasts

Arlecchino's Arc (11/4), Blyton Lass (4/1), Sharp Operator (9/2), Mullarkey (6/1), Hidden Dream (6/1), Outlaw Torn (14/1), Cold Fire (14/1), Castle Talbot (20/1), Lulu Star (25/1), Ainne (25/1), Pollyissimo (33/1), Ocean Spray (100/1)

Verdict

A lot of these like to be on the pace and that set things up nicely for HIDDEN DREAM who came off a strong gallop to gain a C&D success during the winter and has faced stiff tasks off higher marks since. Sharp Operator and Castle Talbot are other likely beneficiaries of the predicted pace with the former seemingly the better handicapped of the pair.
