Three wins from six starts and rounded off last season with victory in a 6f handicap at Kempton. Almost certainly has more to offer and is respected on her reappearance off career-high mark.

First run for current trainer since leaving Chris Dwyer's yard when nose second of seven at Kempton last month. May have needed that first run since October and is respected off 1lb higher mark.

Three successive wins last autumn, but the handicapper had his say and she has struggled since. Ran well for a long way last time and is inching back down the weights.

Won twice over sprint distances when trained by Charlie Hills and makes her first start for a new trainer. May be sharper for this first run since November, but is worth a check in the betting.

Two wins over 6f when trained by Jo Hughes. Starts out for a new handler, but hard to know what to expect given patchy recent form.

Won a Lingfield novice event when trained by Jimmy Fox, but drew a blank in handicaps despite going close on a couple of occasions. First start for this stable off a reduced mark and has a bit to prove.

Competes mainly over 7f these days, a trip she won over at this venue in September. Back down to that winning mark, but this shorter trip is a concern.

Chica De La Nochep43
Age: 5|  Weight: 8-2| J: L Morris| T: S Dow| OR:  66| D
8/1
Consistent and in-form performer over 6f and 7f. Back to winning ways over the longer trip at Kempton last time and although she is up 2lb and down in distance, she has to go on the short list.

Forecasts

Indian Tygress (2/1), Rose Berry (3/1), Puds (10/3), Chica De La Noche (8/1), Sonnet Rose (8/1), Emily Goldfinch (16/1), Peggy's Angel (20/1), Sweet And Dandy (25/1)

Verdict

Chica De La Noche's last two wins have been registered over 7f, but she is effective at this shorter trip and has to be considered along with Rose Berry, Emily Goldfinch, Puds and Sonnet Rose. However, it was not hard to be impressed by the progress made by INDIAN TYGRESS last season and there is surely more to come this time round. She may have a class advantage over her rivals.
  1. Indian Tygress
  2. Chica De La Noche
  3. Rose Berry
