A winner for Charlie Hills and Jamie Osborne, he starts out for a new trainer under top weight in a race which may be short of his best and may need this first race since November.
Winner of three races and is back with a trainer for whom he has enjoyed success. Suspicion is that he is better over 7f these days.
Back to form when runner-up, beaten only ½L, over this trip at Wolverhampton last month. Obvious chance off the same mark, but is lumbered with the widest stall.
In good form when winning twice in January, but was disappointing over C&D four days ago. Turned out again quite quickly and jockey booking catches the eye.
Not beaten far on last three starts after a long absence. Needs to find a little extra off his slightly reduced mark, but first-time blinkers could help in that respect.
Won over 7f for Simon Crisford and has produced three solid displays over 6f and 7f for current trainer. Beaten 1L when second of 12 over this distance at Chelmsford last time and has solid claims on that form.
Experienced performer who scored over C&D in October. Not up to that level of form since, but is only 1lb higher than for that success.
Just behind Enthaar when third over this trip at Chelmsford and is 1lb better off. In good heart for in-form stable and should be thereabouts again.
Scored over C&D in January, but was behind Enthaar and Cappananty Con last time. Return to this venue is a positive, so not one to dismiss lightly.
Winner of five races and ran well to be third over C&D in January. Refused to race last time, however, so clearly comes with risks attached.
Clear-cut winner over this distance at Wolverhampton before running well to be third of nine at that venue off 7lb higher. Competes off the same mark which leaves him slightly vulnerable.
Forecasts
Global Tango (5/2), Enthaar (5/1), Choice Encounter (5/1), Cappananty Con (5/1), Steelriver (8/1), Madrinho (11/1), Waqaas (12/1), Smokey Lane (14/1), Top Boy (20/1), Mont Kiara (25/1), Gold Hunter (50/1)
A competitive sprint which may go to ENTHAAR, who ran well to be second at Chelmsford last time and can confirm the form with Cappananty Con and Mont Kiara. Others to consider include Madrinho, Choice Encounter and the blinkered Global Tango.
- Enthaar
- Cappananty Con
- Madrinho
