Not seen out since third of six in a seller at Lingfield last May; the front pair rated much higher than the bunch he faces here. Not unduly burdened for his handicap debut. Worth a betting check.

A front runner that is now on a winning mark; also comes here on the back of a respectable effort at Wolverhampton last time out. Been placed over C&D before and capable of being thereabouts once more. Worth considering.

C&D winner last October and has won from a higher mark than she races off here; below par the last twice though. Needs to up her game. Widest draw not ideal.

On a long losing run but has dropped a long way in the ratings as a result. Recent form suggests the gelding has lost his way a tad and he's difficult to recommend at present despite that handy mark.

Well behind Mans Not Trot when they encountered each other here last time out and has a lot of work to do in his effort to just reverse that form. Others preferred on this occasion.

A winner over 7f on turf last summer but has been out of form since. Unexposed over the trip and had an excuse last time when impeded at the start. Cheekpieces applied for only the second time but the filly still needs to improve.

Still a maiden but has shown a bit of improvement since returning from a break. However, another step forward is needed to figure here though.

Ran well here on racecourse bow but form has been a mixed bag since then. Would have place claims if able to run up to the level of his penultimate start but reverted to type last time. Looks one to be wary of at present. (Out of the weights.)

Yet to win a race but is unexposed on the AW and ran well at Wolverhampton last time out. Improvement needed on Polytrack debut but may have more to offer. Worth a betting check.

Out of form and hard to see her breaking her maiden if running up to recent levels. Would be a surprise winner.

Rated just 39 and looks regressive. Drops in trip and has plenty to prove.

Gets the three-year-old's weight allowance and has sound claims after creating the impression that she's ready for a step up in trip last time out (6f, standard, at Wolverhampton). Polytrack debut but may improve for the extra distance. Shortlisted.

Not shown much in the mandatory three starts so far and is best watched from a stiff looking mark (albeit a low one) on handicap debut.

Only beaten a total of one horse home from his three previous starts and is very difficult to recommend. The tongue tie might help but needs to initiate a big amount of improvement.

Forecasts

Mans Not Trot (11/4), Cold Fire (4/1), Lincoln Spirit (8/1), Ainne (10/1), Lone Voice (10/1), Ahfad (11/1), Shining Valley (12/1), Herringswell (14/1), Dr Julius No (16/1), Solveig's Song (20/1), With Pride (20/1), Takiah (25/1), We Are All Dottie (50/1), Amy Kane (50/1)

Verdict

With five of the fourteen declared to run being set to race from out of the weights, this won't take much winning. LINCOLN SPIRIT has the benefit of a weight-for-age allowance and could take the beating if coping with the step up in trip. Man's Not Trot can make this a good test for the selection and could be hard to peg back if allowed an easy lead; he is a worthy alternative. Lone Voice ran well at Wolverhampton last time and could also be a threat if he handles the Polytrack surface.
  1. Lincoln Spirit
  2. Mans Not Trot
  3. Lone Voice
