Runner-up at Chelmsford in the autumn, but has run badly on both starts since, and needs to bounce back to capitalize on this slight ease in class.
Third in a 7f maiden at Wolverhampton in December, and improved at second attempt in handicaps when close fourth over 1m½f at Wolverhampton last time. Fitting of a visor could be a catalyst for further progress, and shortlisted.
Best form at Wolverhampton, and suited by strong pace when back to winning ways there last time under this rider (apprentice event). Tougher task here, but not ruled out with visor retained.
Won over C&D in 2016, but lightly raced and limited promise since then, albeit sure to have needed the run on stable debut last time after another absence.
In frame on last three starts, and as good as ever when chasing home Hungarian Rhapsody at Wolverhampton last time. Only just denied there, and likely to continue in form.
Just 2lb higher than when winning over C&D in December, and very much caught the eye when 2½L third of 12 to Hungarian Rhapsody at Wolverhampton last time, coming from further back than pair who beat him.
Out of form for a while, but has fallen in the weights and hinted at a revival in selling company at Wolverhampton last time. Seven of his eight wins have come on Polytrack, so no forlorn hope back on this surface.
Harshly handicapped initially, but assessor is now giving him a chance, and he's been running a little better than form figures would imply. Made good late headway over C&D last time, and seems to be coming to the boil.
Poor form for Sylvester Kirk last year, and has not looked close to a revival for new yard recently.
Neither as good nor as reliable as he once was, and while he's been thereabouts at a modest level of late, he's likely to find a couple too good again.
Form has a regressive look about it, and he has fallen as far as he can in the weights, so surprise if he was good enough to end losing run here.
Poor performer these days and needs everything to drop right, so easy enough to oppose on balance.
Forecasts
Viola Park (11/4), Rivas Rob Roy (7/2), Stand N Deliver (5/1), More Salutes (6/1), Mezmaar (9/1), Footstepsintherain (16/1), Caledonia Laird (16/1), Malaysian Boleh (20/1), Demons And Wizards (20/1), Clement (25/1), Compton Prince (33/1), Tasaaboq (66/1)
VIOLA PARK was behind Rivas Rob Roy at Wolverhampton last time, but was left badly placed when the race began in earnest there, and appears to be at the top of his game. He's taken to turn the tables, with Stand N Deliver and Clement others to consider.
- Viola Park
- Rivas Rob Roy
- Clement
