Promise in two runs here for Roger Varian, but doesn't seem to be progressing with racing, and looked a hard ride on handicap debut at Southwell recently. Perhaps he will do better with headgear fitted now.
Yet to win in ten tries, although far from disgraced in 6f handicaps here at at Lingfield on last two starts, and looks like a well-run race at this trip will suit him ideally. Top jockey booked.
Won Listed National Stakes at Sandown as a juvenile, but he has regressed badly in the years since. Never been this low in the weights, and ran creditably here last time, so can have no excuses with drop in trip a positive.
Veteran whose best recent efforts have come on Fibresand, winning at Southwell in November. Well below form on recent starts, however, and others should have his measure again.
In fine form since joining current yard, winning a pair of 6f handicaps at Chelmsford this winter. Ran up to her best when second of 9 to Mochalov at same course last time, and merits respect given her consistency.
Has shown just a glimmer of ability in three starts here to date, but opening mark demands improvement, and swerved despite the fitting of blinkers for the first time.
Took advantage of a falling mark when winning narrowly in a weak 0-50 handicap over C&D last month. He's not sure to be in the same form given his patchy profile, for all a 2lb rise is not harsh.
Bounced back to form when winning a C&D handicap last month, but has run badly on both starts since, and becoming increasingly hard to predict.
Running consistently well having fallen to a basement mark, and excellent claims on penultimate start, when splitting subsequent winners over C&D. Excuses last time, and one for the shortlist here.
Not won since racecourse bow, although has made the frame on last two starts over 5f despite seeming to find the test insufficient. Up in trip with cheekpieces fitted, and not dismissed.

Forecasts
Bond Street Beau (9/4), Magicinthemaking (3/1), Monarch Maid (5/1), Elliot The Dragon (5/1), King Of Rooks (10/1), Our Man In Havana (12/1), Qallaab (16/1), Deer Song (16/1), Storm Boy (50/1), Pranceabootthetoon (50/1), Divine Call (66/1)
MONARCH MAID has solid each-way claims given a number of good efforts of late, and she wouldn't be winning out of turn. King of Rooks needs a market check dropping in trip having tumbled in the weights, with Magicinthemaking another to have sound chances on recent evidence, and she completes the shortlist.
- Monarch Maid
- King Of Rooks
