C&D winner two runs back and not seen to best effect last time out when runner-up here. Step back up in trip should help and looks capable from this handicap mark.
Hasn't really taken to life over hurdles but he was talented on the Flat at one time, with his career highlight coming in a Listed race here over 1m2f. Hard to fancy in current form though.
Arrives here bidding for a five-timer and didn't need to improve to win under a penalty here last time out. Another 5lb rise to contend with but won with a fair bit in hand last time and can carry on improving.
Seven wins from 32 starts on AW including three course wins over shorter. Impressive when bouncing back at Kempton in November and maybe did too much too soon in his follow up bid last time. Ideally drawn for his front-running tactics here.
Confirmed the promise of a Wolverhampton second when winning on Polytrack at Kempton last time out. Former C&D winner from just a 1lb higher mark than that success so not ruled out if first-time cheekpieces eke out further improvement.
Result Amended
Petite Jack - Original Position 1st. Amended Position 2nd.
Exceeding Power - Original Position 2nd. Amended Position 1st.
Forecasts
Fearsome (2/1), Cosmeapolitan (11/4), Technological (7/2), Eddystone Rock (7/1), Petite Jack (9/1), Exceeding Power (16/1)
FEARSOME is hard to oppose give his fine form on AW of late and the manner in which he won last time suggested the handicapper may not have him just yet. Cosmeapolitan should appreciate the step up in trip while Exceeding Power could be a danger if he gets loose on the lead. Technological has course and distance form to his name and is less exposed than some.
