Still a maiden but only lightly raced; made a good impression on his handicap debut (7f, Kempton) off a 2lb higher mark. Easy to back when reverting to novice company last time out (finished midfield); likely to do better back in handicaps.
Just the four runs to his name but looked less than straightforward in four starts last year (failed to settle in most). Now hooded for his handicap debut but on the evidence so far looks one to take care with.
Appeared to appreciate the switch to the AW for her handicap debut (7f, Wolverhampton) as a juvenile scoring off a mark of 64. Failed to fire when tried in turf again but sprang back to life returned to the AW, this will be her Polytrack debut.
All her consistent AW form so far has been on a Tapeta surface but she did look rather stretched by the trip (extended 1m) last time. Now back to 7f she has travelled well in the past (can be keen) but looks competitive off this mark.
Yet to run in a handicap on the AW but ran well when last seen at Yarmouth (7f) in October; travelled the best until the closing stages. Now back on an artificial surface after a break but hard to rule out off her lowest mark yet.
Handicap debutante who has progressed steadily in her three AW runs on various surfaces catching the eye at Southwell last time over 7f. Cheekpieces go on for the first time and looks one to watch in the market with further progress likely.
Improving race-by-race although she may not be as far forward as some of these as she makes her handicap debut. She will have more chance in this sphere and her mark doesn't look an onerous one; one for the future.
Showed enough in three turf runs last year to show that he has the ability to run well in handicaps over this trip and a little further. Considerately handled when last seen and very interesting on handicap debut after a break; note market move.
Course winner in nursery company last year in a lower grade than this over 6f but this is a stronger contest that she usually contests. Likely to be a little too exposed for this grade though and more needed to take a hand.
Forecasts
Bubbelah (5/4), Zmhar (5/1), Ivory Charm (7/1), Diva D (8/1), Beryl The Petal (8/1), Brandon (9/1), Hanbury Dreams (16/1), Valley Belle (25/1), Molly Mai (25/1)
As with most three-year-old handicaps at this time of the year we get a fairly mixed bag but there do appear to be one or two in here that hold plenty of potential. One of those who already looks strong in the market is BUBBELAH making his handicap debut having shown promise last year. Beryl The Petal, Diva D and Hanbury Dreams are a trio that all look capable of winning at this level in the near future and should be respected. Perhaps the biggest danger comes from Ivory Charm with headgear on for the first time making her handicap debut having really caught the eye at Southwell last time.
- Bubbelah
- Ivory Charm
- Beryl The Petal
