More Than Ready colt who is from a successful family in the US. One to note on debut, especially if there is market support for him.
Not without promise on debut at Wolverhampton, but failed to build on that display over 1m4f at this venue. Stamina may have been an issue on that occasion, so drop back in trip looks a wise move.
Sir Percy colt whose price rose from 11,000 gns as a yearling to 42,000 gns as a juvenile. Needed the experience when ninth of 14 on debut over C&D and can do better this time for stable going well.
Swiss Spirit colt out of a Dubai Destination mare who is a half-sister to a couple of winners. One to keep an eye on in the betting as he makes his debut.
Pour Moi half-brother to useful middle-distance winners Qushchi and Persepolis. Never a factor when seventh of 11 on debut over 7f at this track and needs to show more.
Coach House filly who is a half-sister to three winners at up to 1m. Probably best watched as she makes her first racecourse appearance.
Fair efforts, albeit unplaced, in novice company at Wolverhampton and Lingfield. Not devoid of ability, but can go handicapping after this and that looks the most likely route to success.
Not much to shout about in outings at Brighton and Kempton early last summer. Best watched as she makes her reappearance after quite a long absence.
Beaten quite a long way on both starts over C&D. Much more needed, but has a nice pedigree and should do better in time.
Forecasts
Don Jupp (6/4), Gold Fleece (6/1), Moonlit Sea (6/1), Percy Alexander (13/2), Tavus (8/1), Poor Auld Paddy (8/1), Wan Chai (16/1), Carriageway (33/1), Pinctada (150/1)
Debutants Don Jupp and Poor Auld Paddy are worth noting in the betting and neither would have to be a star to win this contest. On the evidence so far, however, the vote goes to MOONLIT SEA, who ran as though stamina was an issue over further last time and has shown enough to suggest a small race like this is within his compass. Others to consider include Percy Alexander and Gold Fleece.
- Moonlit Sea
- Poor Auld Paddy
- Don Jupp
