Penalised after winning a similar event over C&D last week - beat Aqua Libre by ½L; difficult to knock at present and this race will represent his ninth in a row at Dunstall Park.

Landed the odds by 9L in a 7f claimer here in July and showed signs of a return to form with a close-up finish (third) behind 50/1 shot Mooroverthebridge last week; no issues with this longer trip.

Now 0-5 on the AW, failing to beat a single rival in each of her last three synthetics starts; feasible that she simply doesn't appreciate the kickback at Southwell, but plenty more required nevertheless.

Continually denied a run up the inner when sent off a short price favourite (11/10) at Kempton 11-days ago; better judged on his earlier fast-finishing second at Lingfield (1m2f); should just about get away with dropping back in trip; chance.

Has proved her ability since switched to the AW in October - that was when beaten a nose by Jabarout on her sole visit to this track (7f); 5lb higher in the weights following a largely consistent run of form at Kempton.

Now 1lb lower than when beaten 1L by Arrowzone over C&D in October, but arrives on the back of a low-key run at Lingfield on Friday (raced wide); just 1-15 on the AW overall.

Drops back in trip having regularly raced at 1m2f and beyond when last seen in competitive action in the autumn; has run some reasonable races at this track in the past (2,4,4) so clearly acts on Tapeta; first outing for 110-days.

Caught a well handicapped rival in the shape of Lion Hearted at Chelmsford (7f) last week, although did himself few favours in any case with a dire start; placed over C&D immediately prior (beaten 2½L); no surprise if he's thereabouts.

Nowhere near his best since leaving the care of Lawrence Mullaney; tailed-off last of 13 over C&D 18-days ago (50/1) and despite a plunging mark can't be considered on the basis of that form.

Reasonably consistent over C&D in 2016 for Daniel Mark Loughnane but absolutely woeful for current connections since finishing lame here in July; very unlikely.

Forecasts

Amor Fati (9/4), Arrowzone (9/2), Energia Flavio (9/2), Sharp Operator (5/1), Thunder Buddy (7/1), Zahirah (9/1), Voice of A Leader (11/1), Blyton Lass (12/1), Thundercloud (20/1), Cookie Ring (66/1), Zarkavon (150/1), Les Gar Gan (150/1), Mr Wing (200/1)

Verdict

Amor Fati bumped into a well handicapped rival at Chelmsford last week but ran quite a remarkable race in the circumstances after completely fluffing the start. He's worthy of considering in-running if able to break on terms from the inside berth. Sharp Operator also hasn't enjoyed much luck in his races of late although is threatening to win sooner or later, and he should just about get away with dropping back in trip to this extended mile. However, the obvious selection is the penalised C&D winner ARROWZONE. Well drawn in stall six this race will be his ninth in succession at Dunstall Park, so he certainly knows every inch of this AW track.
  1. Arrowzone
  2. Zahirah
