Back to form at Newcastle on last two starts, finishing neck second of 12 to Glan Y Gors over this trip most recently. Suggested he handled this surface on sole previous try, and one to bear in mind.

Disappointed for Hugo Palmer, but back on track for new yard, and off the mark in a C&D maiden last time in impressive fashion, slamming Miss Crick by 5L. Leading chance back in a handicap.

Won twice here in 2016, and placed over hurdles in October for Gary Moore. Below form on last two starts for that yard, but possible he'll be revived on return to Fibresand for shrewd new yard..

Won a 1m3f maiden here in November 2017, but below that form in three runs last year, albeit faring a little better at Wolverhampton on latest outing. Needs to step up again.

Runner-up off this mark over C&D in November, so ought to be competetive, but he's disappointed on his last two starts, and needs to bounce back. First-time eyeshields may help.

Off the track for a long time before belated reappearance last month, and has failed to beat a rival on either outing this winter. Plenty to prove.

Won a 1m3f maiden here in November, but has been beaten a long way in both handicap starts since, and blinkers quickly reached for. Risky.

Plenty of consistent efforts since his last win over 1m here a year ago. Again ran creditably at Newcastle last time, and beaten only narrowly over C&D prior to that. Should be competitive once again.

Best effort for Hughie Morrison when second over 2m here, and may have needed the run on debut for new yard, but he has plenty on his plate from out of the handicap, even if back on song.

Forecasts

Temur Khan (9/4), Mr Carbonator (10/3), Dommersen (11/2), Saint Mac (7/1), Purple Rock (8/1), Second Page (12/1), High Command (14/1), Sociologist (25/1), Shinghari (66/1)

Verdict

Dommersen was unplaced on his previous try here, but is in better form now, and is respected after an eyecatching second at Newcastle, but slight preference is for TEMUR KHAN, who has got back on track quickly for his new yard, and was a decisive winner of a C&D maiden last time. Mr Carbonator is nothing if not consistent, and is sure to be in the mix again.
