Won over 5f here in June 2017 but not seen out since; has been gelded in the intervening period but likely to need the run. Step up in trip should suit but opposable given the quiet run of stable form.
Highest rated of these so far but already had numerous chances of getting off the mark and already starting to see him drop in the ratings as a result; also debatable as to whether 7f is his ideal trip. Wide drawn not ideal either.
No impression in three bumpers or a couple of previous starts on the Flat. Now has plenty to prove.
Mastercraftsman gelding, cost 25,000 gns as a yearling and represents a highly respected yard. Dam won over 6f and is a half-sister to a winner over this trip. Likely to do better in handicaps but still worth a betting check.
Posted a reasonable effort over C&D on debut but created the impression a step up in trip won't go amiss before too long. Drawn has been unkind today too.
Fourth on debit over 6f at Southwell in the week before Christmas; that form looks ordinary and improvement required now the gelding steps up in trip.
Reasonable efforts in two starts last month (belated start to racing as a four-year-old). Work to do, though, and has form to reverse with Orient Express, may need more time.
Only hinted at ability so far and needs to step up considerably on her recent efforts if she's going to get off the mark at the eleventh time of asking. Ran poorly when tried over C&D before and the visor needs to inspire a big improvement.
Modest effort at Yarmouth on debut and plenty to prove from a wide draw. Others make more appeal.
Stable quiet during the last couple of months but is very capable of having one ready; this filly did well in two starts towards the back end of 2017 and may have strengthened since (notable 3 winners came out of her last race). Player if fit.
Poor efforts in two bumpers and not much to report in a positive manner form a couple of starts on the Flat either. Very hard to recommend.
Forecasts
Blame Culture (4/5), Followthesteps (4/1), Orient Express (7/1), Master Diver (8/1), Strawberryandcream (14/1), My Town Chicago (25/1), Purbeck Gem (33/1), Mystical Moon (50/1), Lambrini Lullaby (100/1), Geneva Trumpet (100/1), Suttonwood Sally (100/1)
STRAWBERRYANDCREAM ran with promise when she was last seen out and has been found a weak race in which to return from a long break. The filly needs to prove her fitness but wouldn't need to find too much to get off the mark here. Master Diver could also find this company an easy introduction to racing and also merits a second look in the betting. Orient Express needs to take a step forward but may fend off Followthesteps as the best of the rest.
