Won a point-to-point before making a fair impression in three previous starts under rules (the last twice over hurdles). Going the right way and may appreciate the extra furlong on his handicap debut. Shortlisted.

Finished third but was disqualified at Exeter last time (rider's weight was called into question). Plenty of experience but it's been a long time since he coped well with a mark this high.

Last won from a mark of 126 so very feasible to say he's well handicapped on face value. Recent evidence suggests otherwise though.

Been highly progressive of late and won her last three starts in good style. Gone up 20lb in the ratings as a result but she has hardly been troubled of late and could still have another step forward within her compass.

0-7 over hurdles and plenty to prove after being pulled up when upped to this sort of trip last time. Stiff test ahead again.

Difficult to assess how much ability and willingness the gelding still possesses; yard highly respected and wouldn't be persevering with him were he not still capable. Still makes limited appeal for a punt though.

Well supported the last two times he's raced - won a conditional rider's race at Ludlow in November but failed to follow up from the same mark latest. Stiff test from 5lb higher this time but this is a weak race. Place possibilities.

Won a point-to-point in Ireland but had shown very little until posting a surprisingly solid run at Ascot last time. Needs to prove that wasn't a one-off performance but place claims if able to repeat the feat.

Won twice over fences last year but is still a maiden over hurdles. Latest start was encouraging over an inadequate trip, so worth a betting check now stamina is more of an issue.

Likes a good test of stamina and has the benefit of recent spin to sharpen him up. Given a chance from a 2lb lower mark than for his last run; another with a feasible chance, which will increase if rain gets into the ground. Worth a betting check.

Would have sound claims on the pick of his past form but this old timers best days are well behind him and he's unlikely to find the requisite improvement judging by his starts last summer.

Bonza Girl (9/4), Big Man Clarence (7/2), Norse Legend (5/1), Court Master (7/1), Bact To Black (8/1), Heresmynumber (11/1), Kerisper (16/1), Agincourt Reef (20/1), Don't Tell George (20/1), Flynnvincible (20/1), Little Boy Boru (25/1), American Life (33/1)

Verdict

The recent form of BONZA GIRL has been hard to crab and the mare looks worth following until the wheels fall off the bus driving her resurgent form. Agincourt Reef and handicap debutante Court Master make the most appeal from the rest, while a bold effort from Back To Black could also see him make the frame if things go his way.

  2. Agincourt Reef
  3. Court Master
