Well backed last time on his reappearance from 2 years away from the track over 1m at Kempton (had also made his debut over the same C&D). Looked as though he retained all his ability but does have to prove that he can produce the same again.

All his runs on turf had been at sprint trips including his handicap debut (penultimate start) before he was upped in trip for his initial AW start. Produced his best effort to date in his 2nd handicap last time over C&D, this trip looking to suit id

One of two debutantes in the field who is a half-brother to a 6f winner (One Big Surprise) and a 5f winner (Looks Surprised). Dam was unraced but she is a half-sister to the smart Colombian a winner at up to 1m2f; best watched unless market speaks.

Looks to be the one that will be more prominent in the betting of the two that this yard runs here. Yet to win a race (0-8) he's been running in handicaps of late having had some wind surgery; good run of form came to an end last time; quirky sort.

A cheap purchase given his pedigree but showed very little on debut and looks to be still learning the ropes in both subsequent starts. Pulled far too hard last time and given that he already has a mark it's surprising he's not taken into handicaps.

Makes his GB/stable debut having run twice in France for Pascal Bary (cost 25,000 guineas in October). His debut on turf at Longchamp in May was useful before he disappointed on the AW when last seen at Deauville; market may well tell the story here.

Bred for the Flat he started life in a Warwick bumper over 1m6f but offered little in that sphere before being switched to the AW over 1m. Fared no better in that sphere and one suspects he's a long-term project for the yard.

Olden Times gelding who makes his debut with a pedigree that looks as though he'll need further than this 1m. Stable not exactly known for debut winner of this ilk and he's best watched first-time out.

Half-brother to numerous winners who went with little verve on his debut over 1m4f at Kempton. Quickly brought back in trip to an extended 1m and showed a little more although he was never a threat and needs this run for a mark.

Had five runs for the James Fanshawe yard producing her best performance on her final run for that barn (2nd handicap start over 7f on turf). Upped in trip for her stable debut and back on the AW didn't run to that same level as before; more needed.

Well held on her debut over this trip at Kempton having been very slowly away before recovering to race in midfield but not showing much promise overall. Likely to still need this experience and not one to be overly interested in.

Verdict

Not a huge amount of strength in depth here and trainer Henry Candy looks to have found an ideal opportunity for his lightly-raced gelding LET RIP who despite being a four-year-old has only had two lifetime starts. He’s shaped well both times though and really ought to be able to deal with the group. If there is another unexposed one in the field then it’s Subliminal who makes his debut in GB for Simon Dow having shown ability when trained in France; the market may provide clues there. Oneovdem and Skydiving look more suited to handicaps but both should make their presence felt.
