The market clearly expected better on his Newmarket debut and a five month break since his last run suggests he may have had a problem. This may take little winning and he is worth a check in early trading.

Down the field in two spring novice events when weak in the market. Has been absent for six months and needs to improve considerably.
Improved effort second time out when third under front-running tactics over C&D. Gelded since and he would have genuine claims if able to run to that level again from a poor draw.

Soundly beaten on Windsor debut in July and has been given time since being gelded. Bred to be better than we have seen and handler knows the family.

Cost £32,000 as a two-year-old and dam was AW scorer. Ran into trouble on debut when not beaten far and could give small yard an overdue second Flat winner.

By Helmet and the fourth foal of a 5f winner who has produced three winning sprinters. Not highly tried on debut but questions over the trip.

Has gone off at long odds on both starts and only beaten one rival. One of the first to be ruled out.

Sepoy half-sister to 6f-1m4f winner Super Kid. Showed little on Kempton debut but this looks weaker and yard's horses come on for a run.

Has only managed to beat one rival in each of her two starts and faces a tall order to be competitive based on what we have seen.
Sent off at 100/1 on debut for Jane Chapple-Hyam when only ninth. Has since joined a trainer with a career record of 1-59 with this age group.

Well held in both starts so far having shown little promise and a big step forward required in order to figure.

Cheap purchase whose debut effort was not devoid of promise. Trainer has a 2% strike rate but she still has to go on the shortlist.

Makes little appeal on pedigree and on the form of her debut effort when finishing 11th. Stable 1-59 with juveniles.

Forecasts

San Carlos (13/8), Celsius (3/1), Aigiarne (6/1), Just Later (7/1), Lieutenant Conde (10/1), Crimson Kiss (16/1), Parknacilla (16/1), Heatherdown (20/1), Red Skye Delight (25/1), Louisiana Beat (50/1), Miss Communicate (50/1), Chocco Star (66/1), Two Faced (66/1)

Verdict

Hardly a race that will take as much winning as the other juvenile races on the card. The Clive Cox newcomer, Aigiarne, is worth checking in the market although her pedigree suggests her stamina will be tested. Red Skye Delight showed promise on her debut whilst Just Later has the pick of the form judged on his last effort. However a chance is taken that CELSIUS can fulfil the potential indicated by the market ahead of his Newmarket debut in a much better race than this. Something looked amiss last time and this looks a good opportunity for him to bounce back.
