Won a couple of amateur events last year, but worry that he's been seen only twice since, and weakened tamely after another break at Kempton last month.

Has a good strike-rate for one at this level, and gained fifth success by a head at Windsor in a competitive event in May. Disappointed at Epsom in July, but given a break since, and capable of bouncing back.

Has shown ability in three Flat runs without winning, and interesting on handicap debut in this sphere having won a handicap hurdle at Market Rasen last month. Sure to go well.

On a losing run, but has won over C&D in the past and ran creditably over hurdles at Ascot last month. On a fair mark back in this sphere, and one to consider.

Still 6lb higher than when winning over 1m at Chelmsford (blinkered) in August, but ran at least as well on next two starts before disappointing there last time. Can't be ignored, for all he has stamina to prove up in trip.

Placed in a C&D maiden earlier in the year, but has run just respectably since switched to handicaps on turf. Has had wind surgery since last seen, though, and may benefit from return to Polytrack.

She Believes23
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-3| J: L P Keniry| T: S Kirk| OR:  73

Won three times as a juvenile, but evidence of this year's poor form is that she has failed to train on, and opposable despite her mark continuing to fall.

Dono Di Dio21

Improved on previous form when winning a 1m2f handicap at Kempton last time by 1¼L from Magic Mirror, and runner-up has scored since, so respected for all she had the run of the race there.

Bamako Du Chateletp7
Age: 7|  Weight: 9-2| J: Jim Crowley| T: Ian Williams| OR:  68| CD

Won a 2m handicap here in October and bounced back from a lesser effort when when 1½L third of 14 to Magic Mirror over this trip at Kempton last time. Should make his presence felt again.

Fair form without winning for Owen Burrows before joining current yard to go hurdling. Has not progressed from a promising start in that sphere, however, and doesn't look one for maximum faith.

Thriving on Polytrack at present, and gained third win over 1m2f here late last month. Up in class and trip now, but dangerous to assume he's finished progressing.

The Night Kingp13
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: F Norton| T: M Quinn| OR:  70

Has looked very game in landing back-to-back wins over 1m2f at Chelmsford of late, and ought to stay this far; must defy the handicapper, but can't be dismissed despite taking a step up in class.

Forecasts

Fearsome (6/4), Bamako Du Chatelet (7/1), Dono Di Dio (7/1), Hackbridge (8/1), The Night King (17/2), Aldrin (9/1), Dangerous Ends (16/1), Give Him Time (20/1), Global Art (20/1), Take Two (33/1), She Believes (33/1), Mutanaqel (50/1)

Verdict

FEARSOME ran well on the Flat at Wolverhampton since when he's shown fairly useful form over hurdles, winning at Fakenham. That should have done his confidence good, and he is taken to score again back on the level. Aldrin is another who has been in good form over timber, and is unexposed in this sphere, so is feared most, with Bamako du Chatelet best of the others in a competitive affair.
