One win in 25 starts, that coming on the Flat at Redcar last year. Will strip fitter for a recent run and this is easier. Handles soft/heavy and has place chances.

Will enjoy this ground (winner on both soft and heavy on the Flat) and shaped nicely on only fifth hurdles start at Carlisle last month, Useful pilot takes 5lb off and he looks sure to be in the firing line.

Seems happiest when there's a bit of cut in the ground, so a few of his efforts when last seen can probably be forgiven. Unexposed over hurdles and may improve a little, so this Irish raider isn't discounted.

Hadn't been seen out for a couple of years until reappearing in October, so may have needed last couple of outings to put her straight. Ran better than finishing position suggested last time and a good showing here wouldn't surprise.

Well backed to score here last time out and did the job well, could be called the winner from some way out. Penalty to carry less of a worry than this ground, which may ask a new question of her.

Only had the four starts and doesn't seem to be progressing at the moment, although it's early days. However, no better for blinkers last time and appears tripless at the moment.

Made favourite to score at Hexham last time but weakened out of things quickly late on and was pulled up. Suspicion is there's a race in him but until he starts showing a bit more, is best watched.

Well supported to score at Perth in May but never really threatened to win it and was last of 12 at Uttoxeter when last seen. Had a break, and still early days, so possibility of improvement, but risky at present.

Placed in a couple of low grade handicaps when last seen but this 11yo is likely to need the run after an absence. Ground fine but others make more appeal today.

Forecasts

Millie The Minx (11/8), Bahama Moon (2/1), Mac Cennetig (8/1), Sory (12/1), Jaycols Star (12/1), Magic Of Milan (16/1), Domestic Diva (16/1), Northern Sky (16/1), Surrender (33/1), Rajapur (50/1)

Verdict

Not an easy opener to figure out, and a few hold chances. Some money for either Jaycols Star or the Irish raider Northern Sky would make them interesting, but as it stands BAHAMA MOON makes plenty of appeal. He enjoys some dig in the ground and looks a potential improver on last month's Carlisle effort, where he looked a surefire future winner. Domestic Diva was another that ran encouragingly last time and is likely to last out longer here. She cannot be discounted, and neither can recent scorer Millie The Minx if the slower ground doesn't inconvenience her.
