Beaten 12L when finishing fourth in a 2m heavy ground handicap hurdle at Ffos Las last time. Handles good ground and good-to-firm going also and is interesting in this contest.

12 race maiden finished a fair fifth over an extended 2m at Market Rasen (good) a fortnight ago. Likely more needed if he's to break his maiden in this event.

Forecast

St John's (11/10), Sarpech (9/2), Primogeniture (5/1), Torrent Des Mottes (5/1), Micras (7/1), Flanagans Field (8/1), Murchison River (10/1), Aza Run (10/1), Anton Dolin (25/1)

Verdict

ST JOHN'S showed up well on heavy going last time out and he is taken to return to the winners enclosure in this handicap hurdle. The selection can get the better of Sarpech who carries top weight on debut for a new stable while third place can go to Flanagans Field who can bounce back from a disappointing effort last time.
  1. St John's
  2. Sarpech
  3. Flanagans Field
