Unraced son of War Front bought for $1.2m as a yearling. Represents a top yard and stable have introduced some high class performers at this venue in recent seasons.
Unraced son of Dawn Approach out of a mare who won twice on the AW. Worth a check in the market on debut.
Improved on debut when finishing runner-up in a C&D novice event last time out. Likely more needed if he's to take this contest.
Beaten 15L when finishing fifth of six in a 6f maiden here a month ago. Probably best watched stepping up in distance.
Ran well to finish 3L fourth in a 7f claimer at Redcar (soft) in October. Failed to build on that in two subsequent starts.
Unraced Dawn Approach colt out of a half-sister to classy juvenile Arcano. Worth a cheeck in the market on racecourse debut.
Fair efforts in two starts so far most recently when beaten 7L over this trip at Wolverhampton two weeks ago. Others hold stronger claims however.
Unraced gelded son of Gregorian bought for 24,000 gns as a yearling. Market support would be notable on racecourse debut.
Unraced home-bred Haafhd filly out of a four time winning mare. Probably best watched on her first appearance on the track.
Promising 3L fifth over this trip at Dundalk on sole start for Emmet Mullins in October. Well beaten on debut for this yard at Southwell last time out and likely capable of better.
Forecasts
Almashriq (8/11), Mosakhar (2/1), Cape Victory (13/2), Transpennine Gold (16/1), Cheap Jack (28/1), Spiritual Boy (50/1), Tails I Win (66/1), Gunnabedun (125/1), Football Friend (150/1), Amourie (250/1)
Trainer John Gosden has introduced the likes of Enable and Without Parole here in recent years and his ALMASHRIQ is taken to break his maiden at the first time attempt in this novice event. The selection was an expensive purchase and he can take this at the chief expense of Mosakhar who represents a powerful Newmarket stable while Cape Victory who is out of a dual AW winner can take third.
- Almashriq
- Mosakhar
- Cape Victory
