Son of Excelebration was slowly away and made no impression on debut at Nottingham and best watched until signs of promise.
Not fancied and well beaten on debut and bred to need a stiffer test in time rather than this drop in trip. Others preferred.

Gelded son of Society Rock whose price rose from €36,000 as a foal to 220,000 gns as a yearling. Stable well capable of readying a smart newcomer and market support should be noted.

90,000 gns son of Dabirsim out of a French middle-distance winner. Withdrawn when unruly on intended debut and still proved difficult to load when well held over this C&D. Remains best watched.
By Dark Angel out of a well-related 1m2f winner and proved very green here on debut. Big improvement required to be involved.
Pivotal colt whose dam won over 1m. Only moderate late headway at Redcar on debut and although he's likely to come on for the run, this should prove too tough again.

Dutch Art colt and a brother to Group 3 winner Zonderland. Bred to do well as a juvenile and stable in good form. Respected on debut.

Daughter of Exchange Rate and a half-sister to three winners. Showed pace when not disgraced over this C&D on debut but more progress required.

Camelot filly and a half-sister to four winners including Highland Knight. Likely to appreciate a bit further in time but well worth a market check on debut.

Cost €50,000 as a foal and 82,000 gns as a yearling and a half-sister to St Leger winner Arctic Cosmos. Stayed on from a long way back over this C&D on debut and only likely to improve. Should go close.

Daughter of Sea The Stars fetched 65,000 gns as a yearling. Should appreciate a stiffer test in due course and one to watch on debut.

Forecasts

Manorah (2/1), Vasiliev (4/1), Mostawaa (4/1), Fanfaronade (5/1), Fox Kasper (8/1), Midport (11/1), Turntable (12/1), Starlight Red (14/1), Loch Lady (16/1), Celtic Classic (33/1), Mokuba (33/1), Beeswax (40/1), Spirit Of Angel (66/1)

Verdict

Manorah certainly made some good late progress on debut and should have every chance of breaking her maiden tag at just the second time of asking. The market has twice dismissed MOSTAWAA but he was very impressive in his win under today's apprentice and the time backed up the visual performance. Fox Kasper is a notable debutante.
