Winner at Lingfield in the first-time blinkers back in September off a 3lb lower mark. Not so good the last twice but starts life with a new yard today and tough to discount.

1m Brighton winner in October 2017 (novice median auction); raced sparingly on turf during the course of 2018; excuses (ground and fitness) for latest poor effort; dropped 5lb for the switch to the AW.

Hit the frame on all four starts so far and starts life in handicaps off a very workable mark. Chances are she might want a little further than this in time but has run well both starts over this C&D.

Ran much better than the bare result suggest at Lingfield on stable debut when not getting a very good run through. Same mark here and with the hood applied it would be no surprise if we see a much better showing.

Won twice over this C&D earlier in the year and is only 2lb higher than for the last of those. Looked in need of the run here last time and now looks to resume his progress on just second start for this yard.

Won back-to-back races including over C&D before flopping up to class 2 company last time. 7lb higher than for that last win but much more at home back in this company.

Looks to have turned the corner of late wining at Wolverhampton and Lingfield the last twice. Up another 5lb here but clearly in rude health and the hat-trick is very much a possibility.

Won at Nottingham (1m2f) two starts back but struggled back on the AW at Lingifeld last time. That was a rare bad effort and not discounted if back to his best with Jason Watson back on board.

Winner at Kempton three starts back but no so good the last twice and raced slightly awkwardly there last time. Only 3lb higher than for his win though so further improvement is possible.

The Night Kingp22
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-10| J: F Norton| T: M Quinn| OR:  67| CD

Gained a third win of the campaign when scoring last time over this C&D. Consistent performer so likely to be competitive again but more required again off 3lb higher.

Sweet Nature22
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-10| J: P J McDonald| T: W J Haggas| OR:  67

Steady improvement in novice company getting off the mark at the third attempt. Moves into handicaps off a very tempting mark and likely to be a key player here.

Forecasts

Sweet Nature (7/2), Appenzeller (4/1), King Of The Sand (9/2), Yaa Mous (5/1), Arabic Culture (11/2), The Night King (12/1), Heeyaam (14/1), Captain Pugwash (14/1), The Warrior (20/1), Bayston Hill (25/1), Autumn Leaves (33/1), Echo Brava (66/1)

Verdict

Appenzeller comes here chasing a hat-trick after a couple of convincing victories and remains with plenty of potential under the penalty. Handicap debutantes Heeyaam and especially SWEET NATURE come here with plenty of promise too. Preference is for William Haggas's filly who has improved with each start and looks on a good opening mark.
