Impressive winner on hurdling bow, but this is a stronger event and improvement will be required to defy a penalty.

Mixed form under both codes but has a maiden hurdle win to his name and ought to cope well with predicted going. Good effort last time on first run back from wind surgery.

Flattered in some small field events before fishing out of his depth last time. Place claims in a race lacking depth.
Useful Flat handicapper who has won 10 races at up to 7.5f. Clear stamina doubts but not highly tried on hurdling bow.

Rated in the 80's on the Flat for William Haggas in 2016, but slipped in the weights due to his inconsistent form for this trainer; only beat one home on hurdling debut.

Will be racing for fourth trainer in five starts. Took a backward step last time but claims on prior form if move to Middleham pays off.
Modest form on each of his four starts with the latest not helped by an early blunder. Will qualify for handicaps after this and that may be where his best prospects lie.

Started 4/1 on debut in a 3m maiden point-to-point at Stradbally in May, but could only finish in mid-division. 100/1 when occupying a similar position on hurdling bow but showed some promise.

Triple winner up to 1m for Richard Hannon whose last run was in Greece a year ago. Has been known to be a bit keen so probably best watched on this occasion.

Landed a hat-trick in early 2017 but form has deteriorated this calendar year and pulled up on hurdling debut. Has had wind surgery since.

Landed a 1m4f handicap here in July and rated 62 in that sphere. Distant third on hurdling debut but should have gained plenty for the experience. Stable have a good record here and worth noting in the market.

Poor Flat maiden who was down the field on hurdling debut. Stable have more obvious claims with their other runner.

Forecasts

Je Suis Charlie (1/1), Goldencard (5/2), Classic Seniority (12/1), Lough Legend (12/1), Ballyfarsoon (14/1), Calliope (14/1), Shaiyem (25/1), Lester Kris (28/1), Legalized (50/1), Dwight D (66/1), Oldtimer (150/1), Start Seven (150/1), Ska Ridge (200/1)

Verdict

Classic Seniority is interesting on his hurdling debut given a Flat mark in the high 80s. Calliope was rated inferior on the Flat but has proven stamina and the benefit of an introductory run over hurdles. JE SUIS CHARLIE and Goldencard have winning form over hurdles with the selection having consistently performed to a higher level than that achieved by the latter at Kelso.
