Without a win since December 2014. Has had various trainers and was purchased most recently for 8,000 guineas last October. Only had three starts since but is 12lb below his last winning mark.
Three-time winner that is currently 4lb below her last winning mark fro Richard Hannon. Picked up by new connections for 13,000 gns in the autumn h-i-t sales and remains of interest.
Showed improved form on second start for this yard when getting up late on to win over C&D two weeks ago. Only nudged up 3lb for that win but the draw has not been overly kind here. Player all the same.
Had some big gaps between her four runs so far and looked in need of the run when finishing last of nine at Kempton (5f) last month. Adam Kirby booked and she should be fitter here.
Won twice here in the summer over this C&D and over 5f. Well held on next two starts but only 3lb higher than for that last win and a return to this venue is an obvious positive.
Ran well on stable debut at Kempton in August but the last three efforts have been poor having barely beaten a rival home. Visor now replaces cheekpieces but needs to show much more.
Placed in a couple of races over this C&D back in the summer but has been disappointing on turf the last twice. Return here a positive but needs to bounce back off higher AW mark.
Form can be a little patchy and she's hard to catch right. Only 2lb higher than when winning at Haydock earlier in the year so not out of it from a handicapping perspective but needs to show more than of late.
Has become a really liekable and consistent filly. Got a deserved win at Kempton three weeks ago and did so in style. Only up 4lb and whilst this would require a career best, this C&D winner is more than capable of going in again.
Both career victories have come over this C&D, the latest being back in April off this mark. Well held here last time but may just have needed that after a short break and impossible to dismiss here.
Has a tendency to miss the break which is not ideal from such a wide draw. Will more than likely have to be ridden for luck but has failed to beat a rival home the last twice and others readily preferred.
Winner over 5f at Musselburgh in August off 4lb lower. Didn't fare too badly when fourth at Newcastle last time staying on from off the pace. Looks worth another go at this trip now.
Broke his maiden over this C&D back in 2016 and has won three times subsequently. Still 2lb higher than for last win at Carlisle in September when making all which won't be easy in this field.
Forecasts
The Amber Fort (4/1), Walk On Walter (9/2), Katheefa (8/1), The Lacemaker (8/1), Dotted Swiss (10/1), Avenue Of Stars (10/1), Desert Fox (12/1), Burmese Blazer (14/1), Time Zone (16/1), Meerpat (18/1), Laubali (18/1), Secondo (28/1), Hit The Beat (50/1)
A wide-open contest and you can make solid cases for plenty. Any market support for Hit The Beat would be interesting with Adam Kirby taking over in the saddle having looked in need of the run last time. Dotted Swiss looks a good buy for Archie Watson and she could be dangerous from an inside draw. The Lacemaker is as genuine as they come and she won with something to spare at Kempton last time so is very much respected. Preference is for THE AMBER FORT who shaped like in need of the run last time and could be dangerous back here with Oisin Murphy on board.
- The Amber Fort
- The Lacemaker
