Kingman half-brother to three winners including a Grade 2 winner in the US. Made a very impressive winning debut at Newcastle (1m) recently, and ought to take all the beating despite a penalty.
Promise amidst greenness in two starts to date, most recently finishing sixth of 11 to Battle For Glory over this trip at Newmarket. Will do better when handicapping.
Better effort to date when 7¾L fourth of 11 to Art Song over 1m here last time, and should build on that, but plenty more required, and drop in trip not certain to suit on pedigree.
Exceed And Excel half-brother to useful 1m1f- 1m3f winner High Bridge and useful 2-y-o 1m winner Oojooba. Makes plenty of appeal on paper, and market check needed for in-form yard.
Cheap purchase out of an unraced mare and 66/1 when well held on racecourse bow at Lingfield, which doesn't augur well.
Dam a winning sprinter but this gelding was too green to show anything on his racecourse bow at Chelmsford last month, and likely to need more time.
Promise on debut over C&D and again shaped quite well when 5 lengths fifth of 16 to Sam Cooke in a 1m novice at York last time. Solid place claims on that evidence.
Kyllachy colt from a good family who was bought for 100,000 gns earlier in the year. Showed ability when seventh of 12 to Sovereign Grant over C&D on sole start to date, and likely to build on that, for all he needs to.
Shamardal colt from family of outstanding Australian performer Lonhro. Yard has a very strong hand with juveniles, and this newcomer merits serious attention given his appeal on paper.
Archipenko half-sister to useful 2-y-o 6f winner Alamode and 2m winner Alternate Route. Should pay her way in time, but connections don't rush their juveniles.
Rock of Gibraltar filly out of a poor racemare whose three previous foals to race have made no great impact. Hard to see her getting involved.
Played up beforehand, and looked in need of experience when 10¼L ninth of 15 to Glance in a Goodwood novice in September, so no surprise if she was able to leave that bare form behind.
Toronado filly who has been soundly beaten in two starts to date, and of no interest at this level.
Forecasts
Headman (4/9), Zakouski (5/2), Pempie (14/1), Elamirr (14/1), Rangali Island (20/1), Te Amo Te Amo (25/1), City Master (33/1), Alaminta (50/1), Craneur (50/1), Poetic Motion (100/1), Lucachangretta (100/1), Patronus (100/1), Je M'en Fous (100/1)
HEADMAN drops in trip and is parked wide, but made such a big impression at Newcastle that he looks more than capable of overcoming such trifles. He's preferred to well-bred debutant Zakouski, with Pempie best of the remainder having been green on debut.
- Headman
- Zakouski
