Off time: 13:30 | Winning time: 5m 39.90s

Walt^p¹⁰⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 11-8| J: N D Fehily| T: N P Mulholland| OR: 120| C

2/1

Still to get off the mark over fences in seven attempts and below par when last seen in the summer but this represents a big drop in class and one to take seriously.

Form: 33P-206

Royal Magic²¹⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-6| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: S Thomas| OR: 118

12/1

Chase debut today. Sprang a 66/1 shock over hurdles at Towcester last winter but little form otherwise and hard to be confident unless market speaks positively.

Form: P6/6158-

Pull Together²³¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-6| J: C Gethings| T: S Edmunds| OR: 118

7/1

Consistent front-runner over hurdles getting off the mark over 2m at Plumpton when last seen. Stays this far and has experience in the Point-to-point field.

Form: F42221-

Plus One³⁴⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: B Pauling| OR: 117

4/1

Landed a Point-to-point in 2016 but hasn't stood much racing since. First run since leaving Jonjo O'Neill and worth noting in betting after another absence.

Form: P12/63-

Diplomate Sivola⁴³

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: Mr D Maxwell⁽⁵⁾| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR: 117

7/2

Unlucky when close third over 2f shorter here last time when running out of room close home. That represented a step back in the right direction after hunter chasing last season and open to improvement.

Form: 76F43-3

Sandhurst Lad²¹⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 10-13| J: Andrew Tinkler| T: W Greatrex| OR: 111

10/1

Chase debut but won first time out last season so absence shouldn't be a concern. Stays further than this and any rain would be welcome.

Form: 10224P-

Glen Rocco¹¹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-11| J: L P Aspell| T: N J Gifford| OR: 109

14/1

Point-to-point winner but got no further than the first when hampered and unseated rider on recent chase debut when sent off 14/1 at Chepstow.

Form: P1/653-U

Mahler's First²¹⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 10-3| J: Conor Shoemark| T: V R A Dartnall| OR: 97

28/1

Poor form over hurdles and makes chase debut now. Yard in form but does have something to prove for now.

Form: 9/4P5P-

Non-Runners

Burst Ya Bubble²⁴

Weight: 11-6| Age: 6

T: J W Mullins J: Daniel Sansom

Forecasts

Walt (2/1), Diplomate Sivola (7/2), Plus One (4/1), Pull Together (7/1), Sandhurst Lad (10/1), Burst Ya Bubble (12/1), Royal Magic (12/1), Glen Rocco (14/1), Mahler's First (28/1)

WALT disappointed when last seen but he could be worth chancing with this drop in class in his favour. Diplomate Sivola was unlucky on latest and looks sure to go well again while Plus One is the type to do well in this sphere.
