Finished runner-up at Plumpton (2m, good-to-soft) on hurdling debut in April. Still held chances when falling two out at Worcester subsequently and is one to note on this occasion.
Fair effort in finishing 12L sixth in a 2m bumper at Warwick (good) in May. Yard can boast a 36% strike-rate (5/14) in recent weeks and he is interesting on hurdling debut.

Forecasts

Mount Rushmoore (9/2), Dancing Doug (5/1), Beakstown (6/1), Young Wolf (7/1), Legal Eyes (8/1), Ninth Wave (10/1), Lord Du Mesnil (12/1), Southern Sam (14/1), Amateur (14/1), Gallows Point (14/1), Book Direct (14/1), See Forever (20/1), Arthur's Sixpence (20/1), Justthegrey (33/1), Iwilldoit (50/1), Goodthyneaway (50/1), Mistercobar (50/1), Sam Chisolm (66/1)

Verdict

YOUNG WOLF showed good form when placed in an Irish bumper last season and with a promising conditional jockey up he is taken to get off the mark at the first attempt over hurdles in this competitive looking contest. Mount Rushmoore can put a disappointing latest effort behind him by finishing runner-up ahead of Lord Du Mesnil who showed good form in France and is making his return to hurdling.
  1. Young Wolf
  2. Mount Rushmoore
  3. Lord Du Mesnil
