Kodiac colt sets the standard on his York maiden fourth but has been a beaten favourite twice since. Leading contender providing first-time blinkers have an effect.
Mastercraftsman half-brother to smart 1m-1¼m winner Lady Gloria and useful 1m winner Light And Shade. Showed nice improvement first to second start and has already shown enough to go close.
Son of Garswood cost £32,000 as a yearling. Ran to a similar standard in two races and although this requires more, could be competitive.
47,000 gns son of Pour Moi but has really struggled in four starts to dare and very hard to make a case for.
Cost £15,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to five winners. Well beaten twice so far and easy to oppose.
Gelded son of Dark Angel who fetched 160,000 gns as a foal. Stable capable of readying a newcomer and market support would be interesting.
By Frankel out a German Group 3 winner and a half-brother to six winners including Listed winner Marina Piccola. Very interesting pedigree for powerful connections on debut and holds a Derby entry.
Mastercraftsmen colt who has been tailed off in last on both career starts. Stable won this last year but remains best watched.
Daughter of Dutch Art who improved on her debut to finish seventh in a bunch finish. Open to further progress but this does require more.
Mukhadram filly is half-sister to five winners who mostly excelled over middle distances and two of them became hurdlers later on. Looks a long-term project based on both runs to date.
Daughter of Incincible Spirit out of an Australian 7f winner. Stable has won this twice in the last eight years so the betting should prove interesting on debut.
Forecasts
Barys (11/4), New King (3/1), Baryshnikov (4/1), Winter Sky (6/1), Garrison Commander (8/1), Muraad (10/1), Edifice (10/1), Time Immemorial (25/1), Whistler Bowl (50/1), Hydroplane (66/1), Ignatius (100/1)
Barys would be hard to beat if getting back to his best effort but he's proved costly since and needs the headgear to kick him on again. BARYSHNIKOV looked a winner waiting to happen on his second start and looks as though he can improve past him. Three interesting debutantes stand out in particular New King along with Winter Sky and Muraad.
- Baryshnikov
- New King
- Winter Sky
