Hit or miss sort bounced back from several uninspiring efforts to win at Cartmel (2m6f) in August. Two lesser runs since see her get 1lb back but would need to bounce back in some style.
Won hurdles debut at Wetherby and placed in both subsequent starts at same course and Huntingdon. Starts out new campaign in first handicap and opening mark not impossible so merits serious respect.
Landed the odds at Hexham (2m4f) two starts back, her first victory but couldn't build on that back home next over 3m at Cork. This sort of trip more to her liking it seems but softer ground a question mark although trainer's raiders always feared.
Landed a Cartmel maiden hurdle (2m6f) on stable debut and followed up on level at Carlisle. Also second next back over hurdles and placed in three of four subsequent flat starts. Improving mare who stays well has to be considered.
C&D maiden hurdle winner (heavy ) in November 2017 but only seen twice since. Pulled-up next and presumably had issues subsequently. Midfield return at Carlisle showed all is well again but more needed now.
Won two of her fours starts over hurdles to date with a close second sandwiched in between. Step up in trip a slight doubt but bred for it and looks to be fairly treated to start out in handicaps for top connections.
Sedgefield bumper winner was impressive on hurdles debut over this trip at Newcastle (heavy) when last seen back in April. Second and third that day were ran outsiders who have struggled since so form questionable but has potential.
Second in last three (of four) novice hurdle races late last season, all over 2m on heavy ground. Returns to action upped in trip for handicap bow and merits respect with possibilities off this opening mark.
Off the mark when fairly bolting up over hurdles as recently as Monday (won by 14L). Turned out quickly here over longer trip but carrying just a 7lb penalty she could be thrown in providing she recovers in time.
Prolific flat stayer made her first hurdles start in 32 months when a close second at Sedgefield earlier this month. Only raised 2lb for that sound effort so again has to be considered and is equally effective on all ground.
Unplaced in seven starts and tailed off on recent C&D return (seventh of eight) in a maiden hurdle. Lowly opening mark but not seen enough to recommend.
Finally won at Perth in July but unplaced in last four over a variety of trips and ground conditions. Hard to be confident especially from 4lb out of the handicap.
Forecasts
Hidden Dilemma (7/4), Question Of Faith (4/1), Isle Of Destiny (7/1), Rubenesque (7/1), Birch Vale (10/1), Off The Hook (11/1), Schiaparannie (16/1), Victoria Says (16/1), Eternally Yours (18/1), Bon Chic (25/1), Maureen's Star (25/1), Cyprus Avenue (80/1)
HIDDEN DILEMMA is due for a very quick turnaround here but should connections decide she has recovered sufficiently she would have to be considered a very well handicapped mare having absolutely hacked up at Carlisle which will surely see her rise a lot more than 7lb which is the penalty she carries here. Birch Vale is the most appealing of several newcomers to handicaps of interest. Question Of Faith has an enviable strike rate and made a pleasing return to hurdling most recently; she too is considered.
- Hidden Dilemma
- Birch Vale
