48,000gns juvenile; shown a consistent level of form in all three starts so far (6f), including on Tapeta at Newcastle latest when finishing 3½L fourth to Concierge (just behind Brandy Spirit) in the first AW Championships FTQ Conditions Stakes.
€21,000 yearling; 50/1 and slowly away on debut at Wolverhampton (6f) 12-days ago when finishing last of seven to Mubakker; considerably more required.
45,000gns foal, 50,000gns juvenile; seventh foal, half-brother to four winners including Cricklewood Green (7f-1m) and Act Of Valour (1m2f Flat/2m hurdle). Hooded for debut when finishing a fine 3L third to Concierge at Newcastle (6f).
Cost £100,000 as a juvenile as a half-brother to the talented Hamza (5f-7f Group 3 winner); remains a maiden after five previous attempts; chance on his better efforts, but fairly sluggish in his races of late, so needs to up his game.
€105,000 yearling (€80,000 juvenile); showed only marginal improvement from first start to second when finishing 6¾L fourth of eight to Aplomb at Yarmouth (6f, good to soft) last month; AW debut.
€14,000 yearling; tenth foal; half-brother to winners Vocational (5f), Sunbreak (7f-1m) and Sandy's Row (1m2f); market a useful guide in assessing his chances.
Brother to the Greek 6½f/GB 1m AW winner Elementary; made a promising debut at Redcar (7f, good) in October when caught close home by Mymidons (beaten 1L), but didn't necessarily progress on his next start at Doncaster; back in trip for AW switch.
24,000gns foal; 40,000gns juvenile; first foal from an unraced dam who was a sister to the 6f-7f winner Amary and the 1m-1m2f Hong Kong scorer Wayfoong Express.
Cost £56,000 as a yearling, but left Charles Hills for just 2,000gns at the Newmarket Sales last month after finishing last on both starts on turf (6f) in August.
£12,000 yearling; has shown little promise in two starts so far, including at odds of 100/1 on debut over C&D in early October.
Forecasts
Fares Kodiac (9/4), Brandy Spirit (9/4), Regular (7/2), Grandstand (4/1), Turquoise Friendly (11/1), Legend Island (33/1), Brains (40/1), Opportune Moment (66/1), Tunky (100/1), Isabella Red (100/1)
BRANDY SPIRIT finished just in front of the more experienced Fares Kodiac on debut in the first AW Championships Fast Track Qualifier at Newcastle (6f) last month, and that was quite some effort for a young horse racing on unfavourable terms. Mick Easterby clearly has some talented juveniles in his care (saddled an 80/1 winner in the shape of Jack Berry House recently), and a simple repeat of that Newcastle run ought to be more than good enough to take this lesser race, without factoring in the improvement that must be considered as highly likely from first start to second.
