Three previous AW starts revealed little and this Naas winner has a lot to prove on debut for new yard having lost his form completely when last seen in July,
Losing run stretches back to October 2016. Disappointed at Pontefract before a better effort on Tapeta. More still required to be involved.
Built on previous promise to score over C&D in first time cheekpieces last week. That was a poor race and a 6lb penalty will be difficult to defy.
Landed two races in 2017 including one here. Makes his seasonal bow and his record when fresh does not make good reading.
16-race maiden but only narrowly denied in a similarly weak race last month. Her two best performances have come here and a race of this low stature ought to be within her reach.
21-race maiden produced his best effort for a while when gambled on stable debut here last week. Enjoys a 6lb pull with Mossy's Lodge and would be fancied to turn the tables with that rival.
Three time AW winner ran best race since missing all of 2017 campaign when beaten a nose here over C&D three starts back. Not at that level in either start since and work to do with Mossy's Lodge and Cadeaux Boxer judged on latest run.
Narrowly beaten at Musselburgh in August and showed that was no fluke when bouncing back to form here last week. Did best of those held up and did not get the best of runs so has to go on the shortlist.
Well held in three starts for Richard Fahey last year and failed to improve on stable debut in March. May have needed the run last month but still has plenty to find.
Out of form on turf lately but he has a 4-19 AW strike rate and handles Tapeta. On a lenient mark if the market signals are positive.
Ex-Irish. Has a habit of missing the break but has the ability to go close if breaking better as his last two starts have revealed enough ability to win a race as bad as this.
Attracted support last week but finished behind a few of these and no obvious reason to expect him to turn the tables
Hinted at a return to his best here last weekend when a fast finishing fourth over 7f. The stable's horses have been running well lately and he has every chance in a poor event.
14-race maiden has lost his way lately and connections are banking on a return to Tapeta having a positive effect.
Forecasts
Cadeaux Boxer (13/8), Totally Magic (13/2), Miss Bates (7/1), Mossy's Lodge (15/2), Amherst Rock (12/1), I Am Dandy (12/1), Let Right Be Done (14/1), Clary (16/1), Full Disclosure (25/1), Stardrifter (25/1), Gone With The Wind (40/1), Molly Mayhem (50/1), Bigbadboy (50/1), Westfield Wonder (66/1)
Few of these can be trusted implicitly and CADEAUX BOXER earns a tentative vote having gone close to landing a gamble on his stable debut. He was much better than these in his prime and if anyone can prise a win out of him it will be this trainer. Let Right Be Done and Amherst Rock have the tools to win this if everything falls into place, whilst a market move for Gone With The Wind would make him interesting. I Am Dandy and Miss Bates shaped well in similar company last time and rate the biggest dangers to the selection.
- Cadeaux Boxer
- I Am Dandy
- Miss Bates
