13-race maiden; 25/1, beaten just a nose and a head when third to Sienna Says over 5f here in August. Form mixed since and would be receiving weight from most of these in a handicap.

Cost €300,000 and is a sister to Group 1 winner Signs of Blessing. Best effort came on penultimate start but ran inexplicably poorly on next start when much in her favour.

Daughter of Exceed And Excel out of a Nayef mare and a cheap purchase at £2,800. Has not shown much in either run but stable had their first winner two weeks ago.

Has shown more than enough to win a race as bad as this. However, a market check would be prudent following a year on the sidelines.

Sister to 5f-6f winner Holmeswood (incl AW). Supported on debut in an equally poor contest but may have needed the run more than anticipated.

Fourth of nine on debut for Robert Cowell at Doncaster in June. Starts life for new yard today and will be in the thick of things again with this extra furlong set to suit.

Showed promise in her first two starts before flopping at Chester. Off five months ahead of debut for this yard, but nevertheless it has to be marked as a poor effort. Clear top on official ratings but doubts she can live up to that billing.

Yorkshire Puddingp11

13-race maiden officially rated 47 and coming into this following a sub-standard effort last week. Makes AW debut and hard to see that making enough of a difference.

Forecasts

Thirlmere (3/1), Wind Storm (7/2), Not After Midnight (4/1), Warrior Goddess (5/1), Yorkshire Pudding (8/1), It's A Wish (8/1), Encoded (18/1), Polished Article (25/1), New Dream (50/1)

Verdict

The market should be informative with Wind Storm and Warrior Goddess standing out on form. The former would be dangerous if recovering her early form and the latter has to overcome a five month break on her AW debut for a new stable. WIth that in mind the vote goes to THIRLMERE who is speedily bred and who was heavily backed on her debut here. The form may amount to little, but she showed clear signs of ability and will not have to improve significantly to win this.
  1. Thirlmere
  2. Warrior Goddess
  3. Wind Storm
