Failed to build on a promising debut last time out and may already been ready for a try over further.
A 3,000 gns son of Sir Prancelot; a half-brother to a couple of 7f winners that is out of a half-sister to dual Oaks winner Sariska. Likely to be a lot better for the experience.
Two respectable efforts so far and going the right way. The trip looks ideal and the son of Famous Name looks one of the more likely types for victory.
Cost 200,000 gns, out of the high-class Sky Lantern and a couple of other winners at Group 3 level. Likely to be wiser now he has the benefit of experience and has to be of interest. (Holds 2,000 Guineas and Derby entries.)
Cost £15,000 and has winner in his pedigree. A mile ought to suit but yard is quite and not noted for first-time out winners. Best watched.
Out of a half-sister to Derby winner Harzand and a couple of Group 3 winners; yard and connections highly respected, one for the shortlist. (Derby entry.)
Cost 185,000 gns as a yearling, related to winners between 1m and 1m3f and represents last year's winning yard. Respected.
Made an encouraging start over 7f here earlier in the month and likely the extra furlong will ideally suit. Needs to step up on his second effort, which saw him outpaced near the finish.
Plenty of winners in his bloodlines and from a yard which is very capable of having one primed at the first time of asking. The son of Kingman is worth bearing in mind if attracting interest from the betting ring.
Cost 35,000 gns, a half-brother to the versatile Dolce Strega (winner over 5f -7f) and mile winner Bumbasina. Yard going well just now and cannot be discounted.
Cost 7,500 and is a half-brother to 7f and mile winner Power Of Darkness; lacks the sparkle of some of the other regally-bred individuals on show and may have to settle for a minor role.
45,000 gns as a two-year-old - a half-brother to 7f winner Moscow Treat - and is likely to need the experience. Other preferred on this occasion.
Related to turf winners in the USA and has a very likelable pedigree; has to be of interest from his highly respected yard. One to monitor carefully in the betting.
Needed the run on debut but put in a more accomplished effort last time at Leopardstown- didn't get the clearest of runs but showed a good attitude to force a photo on the line. Likely to be thereabouts with a similar effort.
Debut run was moderate but made progress at Listowel last month. Suited by give underfoot but another big step forward is required.
Slow to start on debut and very feasible that the Pivotal filly is a lot better than she showed on that occasion. Kept going when the penny dropped and showed enough to suggest she has a race within her at some point. Tough ask today though.
Makes plenty of appeal on pedigree (a daughter of Frankel out of Coronation Stakes winner Maids Causeway) and has entries in both the Irish 1,000 Guineas and the Irish Oaks. The fillies allowance is an added bonus. One to bear in mind.
Yard going well and sure to have this half-sister to Hazapour on the boil for her debut; hood employed for her debut but still highly respected. Yet another for the shortlist.
Didn't make much of an impact on debut and improvement already required.

Plenty of regally-bred types on show and this looks like a race to savour for future reference. The likes of Gentile Bellini, Hazran, and Elizabeth Way all hold fancy entries and look certain to capture their fair share of interest in the betting market. However, there was a good deal to like about the way TURNBERRY ISLE kept going through a troubled passage on his latest start and the Galileo colt could be a very tough nut to crack if using that as a platform.
- Turnberry Isle
- Gentile Bellini
- Elizabeth Way
