Son of Dubawi who fetched 550,000 gns as a yearling and showed promise over this C&D on debut. Displayed a smart turn of foot to break through over further at Wolverhampton and should go close again.

Some promise in first two runs but twice tailed off and last since returning from a 394-day absence. Best watched for now.

Plenty of promise in both starts and not seen since a non runner in May due to lameness. Of the horses who finished in front of him at Newmarket, the winner has since been placed at Listed level and the third has won twice. Should be one to follow.
First foal of a Pastoral Pursuits mare and gelded ahead of debut. Doesn't catch the eye on breeding but worth a market check.

Oasis Dream gelding that cost 220,000 gns as a foal. Finished fifth in a bumper recently and now makes Flat and stable debut. Market will be a good guide if improvement is expected.
Daughter of Showcasing and the first foal of a Bahamian Bounty mare. Well held on Wolverhampton debut and others preferred.

Flattered by her fourth in a 7f novice at Salisbury in July and little promise to be taken from her three subsequent starts. Hard to make a case for.

Ran above expectations when third of seven on debut and then not disgraced when not beaten far at Ffos Las next time. Has since left Brendan Powell and holds place claims on AW debut.

Daughter of Kitten's Joy who cost $33,000 as a yearling and £32,000 as a juvenile. Had wind surgery back in April and worth a precautionary check in the market ahead of debut.

Daughter of More Than Ready cost $20,000 as a yearling, rising to $55,000 as a juvenile. Onto her third trainer in as many starts with little promise at Newmarket or when moved to Meydan.

Forecasts

Laieth (8/13), Ballyquin (5/2), More Than More (12/1), Kellington Kitty (16/1), Invisible Shadow (20/1), Despacito (25/1), Frank Rogers (25/1), A Chance To Be Me (33/1), Aegean Legend (50/1), Black Lace (100/1)

Verdict

Laieth has to give away weight due to his second start success but he showed a nice change of gears that should hold him in good stead. BALLYQUIN physically looked far from the finished article when last seen earlier this year but still showed plenty of promise in two runs and with the absence can now be expected to see out his races much better. There's not a lot of depth outside the pair and unless a newcomer comes in for significant support then Despacito is taken to chase them home.
  1. Ballyquin
  2. Laieth
  3. Despacito
