From a yard hardly known for their juveniles but hinted at ability on his only outing so far over C&D. Not likely to win a race of this ilk however and will be of more interest in handicaps in time.

Still a maiden after nine starts but has some placed form in better company that makes this a very viable opportunity. Visor that he wore over C&D when 5th in Listed company is retained here and a repeat of that run would see him break his maiden.
Newcomer whose price dropped sharply from foal to two-year-old who has a rather mixed pedigree. Second runner in this for the trainer and likely to need the run and would be a surprise winner.

Stepped up in distance for his second outing but that didn't bring any improvement and he looks as though he will struggle at this level. Dropped away quickly over 6f last time and of only minor interest here.

Showed that he had ability on his debut at Ayr (6f, heavy) going down by just over 2L to one with experience. His pedigree looks useful and he probably has more long-term potential than most of this field; hard to ignore.

Given two very quick runs over 6f he did better on the second occasion despite not really getting involved. Needs this run for a mark and looks the sort who will do better as a three-year-old with a winter under his belt.

Badly needed the experience on his debut over a mile at Pontefract and definitely regressed from that run when tried over the same trip here. Drops down 2f now on his third run and not easy to enthuse over.
On paper he has quite an appealing pedigree but he failed to live up to any aspirations connections might have on debut (started 50/1) over 6f at Carlisle. Finished well held there and still looks in need of experience this time.

Trainer has failed to have a juvenile winner in the past five years (0/28) and this gelding by Heeraat looks unlikely to change that statistic and is best watched on his debut.

Finished last of eight on her debut at Catterick (6f, soft) and showed very little apart from her inexperience. Never really got into that contest and likely to need the experience again here.

One of two runners in this contest for the trainer with this one looking to very much be the second string. Went with little promise on debut over C&D and a watching brief can only be advised on that basis.

Appeared as though there would be something to work with taking her debut as the starting point where she wasn't knocked around over at Carlisle (6f, heavy). Failed to build on that on her second start over C&D; something to prove now.

Well beaten on her debut (stablemate won the race) at Beverley over 5f she still looked in need of the experience when next seen over C&D; started 50/1. Should do better in time but hard to see her troubling the principals in this.

First ever juvenile runner for this yard who has an American pedigree by Yorgunnabelucky out of unraced dam who has some smart relations. Hard to know what to expect from a fledgling yard; watch unless market suggests otherwise.

Forecasts

Finoah (10/11), Pendleton (15/8), Play It By Ear (11/1), Midnight In Havana (12/1), Rebeljustforkicks (28/1), Power Rush (40/1), Perfect Swiss (40/1), Treasured Company (40/1), Galley Gold (50/1), Crystal Carole (66/1), Wearraah (66/1), Allsfineandandy (80/1), Mythical Pursuits (100/1), Kyllachy Castle (100/1)

Verdict

An opener that despite the size of the field lacks any strength in depth with the majority of these looking towards handicaps before they are of any interest. FINOAH is trying to break his maiden at the 10th attempt and that usually sets the alarm bells ringing but his 5th over C&D last time is standout piece of form especially if the visor works as well again. Pendleton is the main danger on his taking Ayr debut with progress likely to come for a trainer who has won this race before. Perfect Swiss, Midnight In Havana and the newcomer Rebeljustforkicks form a trio that could contest the minor placing.
  1. Finoah
  2. Pendleton
  3. Perfect Swiss
