Dual 5f novice winner this season. 2½L second when stepped up to this trip in a Yarmouth nursery recently. Up 1lb for that, so a bit more needed, but unexposed and a player here.
200-1 but produced her best effort by far last time when under 4L third at Nottingham (1m½f, good). If able to improve again now entering nurseries, she couldn't be ruled out of the frame from this initial mark.
Has shown some promise for both Jamie Osborne and this trainer. Respectable effort on nursery intro at Pontefract last time, after a break/being gelded (Don Logan second there). 2lb drop will help and not ruled out.
Finished 4½L ahead of Socru at Pontefract on his recent nursery debut and is now 4lb worse off with him. Even so, that was another slight improvement and can't rule him out of he can eek out a bit more here.
Not totally devoid of promise so far, but this looks a stiff mark for his nursery debut and can only watch at present.
Showed a bit of ability when 7L seventh of 11 over C&D last month. Well held when stepped up to 1m½f on soft at Nottingham last time for nursery debut. Same mark here and better effort not ruled out now back over 7f on good.
Has improved with each start so far and will need to do so again to make an impact from this stiffish mark on her nursery debut, but interesting nonetheless.
Has gone backwards since being beaten less than 2L on debut at Chelmsford in May. This mark would look handy enough if she could match that effort, but she has plenty to prove on what we have seen since.
0-11 and looks exposed by comparison to the rest of the line-up. ½L second in a Redcar claimer (7f, soft) last time. Drops 7lb, which opens the door somewhat, but whether she is good enough to take advantage remains to be seen.
Has been running well in low grade nurseries, winning one at Newcastle (7f, AW) last month, when 5lb lower. Another respectable effort back there from this mark last time. Acts on good. More needed, but each-way claims.
Has looked moderate so far, including on her recent nursery debut at Haydock. Can only watch.
Forecasts
Don Logan (7/4), Socru (9/2), Diviner (5/1), John Clare (8/1), My Ukulele (8/1), Elieden (10/1), Thebah (20/1), Cuban Sun (25/1), Alban's Dream (33/1), Ocean Reach (33/1), Daniel Dravot (33/1)
Top weight Diviner should be capable of giving another good account here, while Don Logan will be on many short-lists after going well at Pontefract last time. He finished in front of SOCRU there, but with a 4lb pull, Mick Easterby's gelding might be capable of turning the tables, given that he could have needed that run to an extent, after a break. Cuban Sun, Thebah and John Clare are others of interest, while the handicapper has also cut Elieden a bit of slack, and she could make a bigger impact than in previous attempts in nurseries.
- Socru
- Diviner
- Don Logan
